i reckon the wlad of recent years could of give tyson some problems before being stopped in the middle to late rounds

Pretty much. He wasn't going to be able to box behind a jab all night vs. Mike that's for sure. He doesn't have the power to take Mike out with one shot (who did) and he doesn't have the stamina to make it a hugfest ala the Sam Peter fight. Not against a buzz saw like a 21 year old Mike Tyson.

He does about as well Michael Spinks did.

He could last as long as Lewis or he could get cracked in the face and suffer from a broken orbital bone.

Sam Peter would possibly be a bigger challenge for Mike. Tyson head movement is not designed to slip specific punches, but a specific punch - the jab. Klitschko rellies almost 100% upon his jab to win him fights, if outjabbed or ditched he can't win in my view.

Especially against perhaps the greatest composite puncher in the history of the division.

If I was laying money I would lay it on a first round knock out.

1st round knock out. where wlad would lay unconscious on the canvas for 10 min before getting taken to the hospital.

I'm not to sure that counts for anything against prime Mike. The reality is, if Wlad gets hit once, it's over.

4-6. wlad controls distance very well and could fluster tyson early with his jab but as soon as that monster lands something, we will see "panic mode"

prime tyson's chin, power and style spell doom for Dr. Cottonhammer :yep

Vitali-Tyson would have been a friggin nuclear war....what an awesome fight that would have been

Seconds into the first round, one landed left hook from Tyson, would put him into a panic attack, ****, guys like Lamon Brewster did with a jab and Peter with a partially blocked overhand right, Tyson was levels ahead of those two. Tyson had the key 3 needed to beat Wlad, aggressiveness, powerful, and had a great chin, all this equals Wlad laying face down in the canvas choking on his own vomit a minute into the first round.

Wlad is highly talented, but his lack of toughness and a solid chin would put him in hell against a prime Tyson.

why are people talking about wlad instea of vitali for this fight....seriously.

i was watching the klitschko brothers fight when i was working near basel in switzerland, and even though it was wlad who was always touted to do better, it was vitali who made his name against lewis.

considering wlad's 'achilles heel' i think people should be sizing up vitali instead - and i think they will be quickly if he makes a successful comeback against solid heavies.
