September is action packed, great month for boxing. there are fight like golovkin vs prokza who won't matter as far as movemant in the p4p top 10, but martinez vs chavez, dawson vs ward and even matthyse could play a role, if he beats olegusun in a impressiv fashion.

    I'll go first.

° martinez beats chavez, who won't handle the movemant of sergio. he will follow and try to impose his bigger body, but it will look like similar to sergio vs dzinziruk. chavez having a couple of good moments, but getting stopped around 7 round.

° dawson pressures the action. ward will score a lot with his typical style, but ward will be punched with the harder shots and ultimatly will lose on close ud. if dawson is intelligent he should fight from the outside and just make a mayweather like fight, his arms are much longer and speed is on his advantage.

Question being , who goes where after they win

Martinez goes to 3 IMO behind Mayweather and Pacquiao

Ward goes to 5 behind the latter and Marquez and ahead of Donaire, should he lose he goes down the rankings to the lower end

Dawson goes to 5 if he wins also, if he loses he probably drops out the rankings

I really do not fancy Jr in this fight, but if he pulls it off, he obviously enters the rankings as the man who beat the man

    5. Ward ( Up 1 )

Those are the only real changes I expect.

Chavez JR needs to do decent at 168/175 to go P4P due to his weight imo.

If Ward wins he will stay at the same point (6th for me)
If Dawson wins you have to start to consider that his 175 achievements as P4P as he becomes the man at 168, so being the best at 168 and 175 puts him up at 5 above Donaire for me.

    1. Mayweather
    2. Pacquiao
    3. Marquez
    4. Donaire (Although I'm picking Nishioka to beat him if that fight goes down)
    5. Martinez (I think he wins a relatively close decision, and no changes in the rankings)
    6. Ward (I think he wins but Dawson looks visibly drained, so no changes in the rankings)
    7. Wlad
    8. Bradley
    9. Moreno (and I expect him to move up when he decimates Abner Mares in a war that Moreno clearly wins)
    10. Salido

Out: Gamboa (inactivity - back in around Bradley - probably just above Bradley - when he beats Salgado), Dawson (was fringe top 10 before, and if he loses, I have to drop him even if he's drained; if he wins, and Martinez is close, he probably jumps Martinez).

Rigo isn't in my top 20 because he just hasn't beaten anyone who I could even call good since Cordoba. He looks dominant, but he's being fed patsies. I think he has what it takes to be the best in that division, but he needs to prove it before I can rank him that way.

2 - 6 are all almost interchangeable at this point. Bradley and Moreno are unmoveable IMO (assuming Dawson loses and that Gamboa can't be ranked) - I just don't think they're at the level of the guys above them, but can't think of anyone else who has a decent argument of being above them, other than maybe Cotto if you give a lot of credit to close losses, and possibly Abner Mares.

Guys like Cotto, Froch, Mares, (Jhonny) Gonzalez, Dawson, (Yoan Pablo) Hernandez, Nishioka and (Roman) Gonzalez (who has destroyed a similar level of opposition to Rigo but has been sticking with guys who are at least near the top of his weight class) are all close as well. The 11 - 20 range is about as weak right now as I can remember.

    Mayweather
    Pacquiao
Martinez (stays here until he either loses or until pac/may fight)
Dawson (I believe he will beat Ward making him the man in two weight divisions)
Donaire (I believe he wins his fight but it's not enough to be ahead of the other 4)
Marquez(Drops behind Donaire because he has been inactive)
W.Klitschko (Guy doesn't lose, if there was better comp. and he kept winning he'd be in the top 3)
Ward (Cant drop him too much for taking another tough challenge)
Bradley (Nobody at 140 can beat him)
Froch (Still love his win over Bute)

I'd like to know what Rigo did to prove he even belongs in the top 20. His toughest fight was Cordoba and he barely won that fight.

His resume is weak and you don't give people credit for what he did in the amateurs or perceived skill. If people want to put a guy like Rigo up there, why not Broner or Russel Jr because of their physical gifts?

Rigo doesn't belong in the top 20. The P4P list is for accomplished fighters, not fighters with weak resumes.
