I favor Floyd in this fight and think he will win devicisively. However, that hinges on whether or not he can deter Manny with his stiff punches on the outside. If Manny takes Floyds shots well and doesn't respect his power, the outcome will be effected. I believe Floyds punches will be powerful and well placed enough to make Manny think twice about getting in his punching range. If Manny is able to take some to land some over and over, because that is what will happen, then he could be able to do something. I think Floyd can hurt Manny, but if Manny is able to land flush punches in Floyd, he can most certainly hurt Floyd. I think this factor is what makes the fight most interesting.

Agreed. If Mayweather can't make Pacquiao respect him, then I don't see how he can win. If Mayweather causes Pacquiao to think and be patient, then Mayweather wins.

I don't think so. Not even close to being the biggest intangible IMO. Floyd's reflexes, his defense against Pacquiao's unorthodox angles & Pacquiao's own power & accuracy will be important intangibles.

Even if Pac doesn't respect floyd's power floyd should be able to use lateral movement to offset Pac's combos and outpoint him.

That being said Bradley had the power to stun him and I think Floyd has more snap than Bradley, so we'll see.

    He will be fine..

He will get clocked by the right hand, step back and clap his hands together...

The question is how will Floyd react when Pac lands his left hand - yet again he will probably be fine step back and nod his head

I agree, a normal lead right Manny will take.....but what about when he "RUNS" into a right hand?

I agree, I think Floyd will be the puncher also. That said, he needs to be.

lmao. Cotto told Roach they have nothing to worry about. JMM says Pac hit's harder than May.

Floyd doesn't have power, and what little power he has he is afraid to throw down because he will get hit.

You got it backwards. How Floyd reacts to Pac's power will affect how his going to fight. If he finds out Pac can take his head off he will be very very defensive.

If pillowfisted Floyd is able to hurt Pac with unusual power

that'll be the proof that he was working with PED master Heredia all along

    fight should be a NC

floyd dominates decisively? no, but no. he will put his punches together, yes.. and get met back equally. floyd chin you saw vs mosley is about to get cracked. :deal you really think mayweather punches are going to deter the pacquiao straight left? over and over ? pacquiao will get knocked out before he stops throwing the left.. and he aint getting knocked out here, and he aint gonna stop throwing the left, so..

    well... yes and no.

Let's first address the power thing. I agree floyd has to show Manny that he packs a heavy punch and can hurt him. If he doesn't, Pac will jump on his for 12 rounds and it will be a difficult fight for Floyd. Having said this, Pacquiao hasn't been deterred by more powerful fighters before, he's a tough guy to stop. Margarito, Cotto, DLH, Rios arguably had more power than Floyd, Manny destroyed them and wasn't deterred. Manny even kept coming at JMM non-stop for 42 rounds! a man who hit him a ton and has 40 KOs on his resume. JMM knocked down Manny for the first time in their first fight and this just made Manny get more busy and nastier...

so, i don't see Floyd's power having that much of an impact unless floyd gets aggressive though, a few counters here and there won't do much to deter a Manny attack.
