How many “unofficial losses “ Does Floyd Mayweather have?

0 probably. I mean I haven't scored literally every Mayweather fight but I have scored the 4-5 controversial ones and thought he won them all.

 

According to the haters he lost to Castillo, De La Hoya, Maidana, Cotto, Pacquiao

He lost the first Castillo fight. Only a blinkered Floyd nuthugger could see differently. He was outworked and hustled 7-5. Maidana 1 could’ve been a draw too. Floyd spent large parts of that bout getting worked over on the ropes and Maidana found his way through the shoulder roll more successfully than anyone.

To be fair Mayweather won both rematches clearer than the first bouts could have been scored for Castillo or Maidana.

 

Castillo for sure. DeLaHoya was close but no. Cotto was a tough one but no. Maybe Maidana. On a serious note, Angel Manfredy!

 

Realistically? 48-2. Castillo I & Zab Judah. He got a gift decision (as the challenger) against Castillo (who was champ) in a razor thin close fight that many felt Castillo won in the later rounds.

Next, he should have been DQ'd against Judah. After the low blow & back of head shot from Judah (which were deliberate), Roger Mayweather angrily stormed into the ring to confront Judah. This led to Judah's team rushing in & causing a melee. According to ringside rules, if a fighters corner enters the ring before the bell sounds at the end of the round - that's an IMMEDIATE disqualification. He was favored because Judah fouled him first & the melee caused a lot of chaos & confusion.

Aside that, he beat everyone else clearly. There was no controversy in his fights with Dela Hoya, Cotto or Maidana. He beat them all clearly.

 

DelaHoya didn't beat Floyd. Oscar did what he always did against top opponents. He flamed out in the second half of the fight. Oscar stopped jabbing because Mayweather was countering him.

The only fight im fairly certain he lost was Castillo. Madiana fought him tough but Floyd did a little more.

 

None IMO.

 

I’ve seen all of the money era fights, I’ll include ODLH in that, that is probably the closest, with Maidana but I don’t think it’s really up for debate, close but clear victories. Pacquiao and Cotto are not in the conversation.

Castillo is on the list but I have a fair few early 2000’s Floyd fights to get through. Definitely at the time I will score attentively.

 

Can see Castillo going either way, but I had it to Floyd by a point.

DLH is a 7-5 type fight for Floyd imo; although the idea that Floyd dominated has become a bit more mainstream and I disagree with this.

Maidana I was either a Floyd win or a draw imo.

Any others, there's no real claim for Floyd losing imo.

 

Castillo 1 he absolutely lost.
Oscar got tired and stopped jabbing otherwise the fight was his.
I felt he edged Maidana.

I think it’s a stretch to call it an “unofficial” DQ loss to Judah without first calling it an “unofficial” DQ of Judah.
