How many “unofficial losses “ Does Floyd Mayweather have?

I didn’t say anything about Cotto winning. Some Mayweather fancier on here said Floyd beat Cotto with ease which I dispute. It was a good competitive fight that Floyd clearly won but had to work for. Thats it.

Maidana could’ve been a draw. Maidana won 4 of the first 5 rounds before Floyd started figuring him out. Floyd swept most of the rest of the fight but scoring at least some of those rounds for Maidana on workrate and body attack is understandable.

I thought Castillo won the first fight 7-5 in rounds. Either way both getting point deductions thats 114-112.

Im not rewatching these fights to give you a round by round because why should I? It’s not going to prove, disprove or change anything. Boxing scoring is subjective at best só whatever I reckon you likely don’t, so nope. I watched these fights all live and thought they were all close and competitive and far more entertaining than most Mayweather fights. Thats it.

That’s pretty much all I was saying. It was a good, entertaining contest that Floyd deserved to win but had to earn. It was a good solid fight and both men fought very well.

 

I had the first Castillo fight for Castillo by a point, but you can't say much when it's that close. No controversy at all with the with the rest. DLH and Maidana were competitive, but not controversial imo.

 

Zero. The Castillo fight is one that could have went either way depending on how you score it but that doesn't mean he should have lost. What lost Castillo the fight is Floyd banked in too many early rounds and Floyd won enough rounds in the second half of the fight to win it. Castillo started too slow. With Maidana, Floyd just had much cleaner work. The Oscar fight wasn't close at all to me. 8-4/9-3 type of fight. The Pacquiao fight is hilarious to bring up to me as a potential loss. I scored it wide for Floyd 9-3/10-2. Bringing up him being DQ'd against Judah makes no sense to me because it's up to the refs discretion. It's not a set rule that if a fighters trainer jumps into the ring it's an automatic DQ. That's why the decision was upheld in the state of Nevada.

 

I don't think that any of them fell outside the bounds of reasonable interpretation.

 

Spot on. I actually think that Castillo deserved to get the win in their 1st fight by 7-5 margin.

Maidana - draw or 7-5 for Floyd.

Cotto - 8-4
