How many amateur fights do you need to have before you can turn pro?

The amateurs is just a different animal from the pro ranks. You want to be a great pro turn pro and work your way up at a pace that best works for you and youll learn everything you need to know. Its like the nba. Some kids can go straight to the league from high school while most need some college.

Or Orlando Salido. Dude went from having twelve losses to a gatekeeper with upset victories over pound for pound guys.

it is actually a great question. Kobe and Lebron did not go to the college ranks and did well, so in that case it worked out. But in boxing I am sure it works as well.. Duran only had what 16 amateur fights. Hagler not too many. Some guys like Duran are just so naturally gifted they can do it.
