Hit him with an uppercut to the solar plexus which drained the life out of him, pinned him against the ropes then tore his guard away with the forearm whilst ripping him with a hook. Cunningham goes down conscious and chooses not to get back up.

Classic fighting. Foreman & Floyd would be proud.

How can you beat a bunch of HOFs in your generation and division if the standards are high and only a select few can make it at most? Perhaps only one?

How can you beat HOF's outside of your generation unless they are old/faded or green? And therefore be tainted wins?

These are some logical problems for the boxing fans to solve.

He said Fury beat Wlad easily, which is correct. Talking about the style that Fury used to beat Wlad is irrelevant. Even Wlad’s German judges had it 9-3 and 8-4 for Fury, which says it all.

His KO % is certainly impressive. However, not everyone gets into the HOF just because they strung together title defenses in the 4 belt era.
At the end of the day, Wilder´s resume is paper thin. He didn´t beat a single top 10 opponent before his title shot. And through 10 title defenses he managed to face 2 top 10 opponents.
If that is HOF worthy then HOF is completely meaningless.

Maybe we see the HOF differently. For me it's a hall of FAME and Deontay Wilder WAS a famous fighter of his era, and fame is relative to the era you're in as well. I don't like this idea that you have to be Marvin Hagler to be a HOFer or just because your achievements don't stack up to HOFer X from decade Y, you're barred from entering. Wilder was a champ. Wilder defended his belt a number of times. Some of these were legit contenders and former title challengers. He put on an extremely memorable trilogy with Tyson Fury in which he drew once and dropped Fury 4 times. He's dropped every man he's ever fought. If not for Jack Reiss he's stopped every man he's ever fought. His achievements relative to his era (the extremely weak post-Wlad/pre-Fury era) are impressive. He's not a generational ATG. He's not a GOAT contender, but he was more than just the WBC champ. He was the Bronze Bomber and any future boxing scholar who studies the Twentytens in the future will become quickly accustomed to him, his role and his accomplishments

For me, being a HOFer is being a fighter who made a splash. It's something beyond being a champ. It doesn't mean you're an ATG whose resume or skills has immortalised them, but it means you did or had something that stood out in the sport in which you participate. I love how the UFC does their own HOF: not everyone is Anderson Silva, but made an impact and created lasting memories to deserve retrospective recognition

tl;dr the HOF is a borderline popularity contest, but in boxing being a popular fighter is almost always based on some kind of accomplishments or service to the sport. Now I know kunts will play devil's advocate and bring up Ryan, but Wilder's Instagram followers clearly isn't why he got big, it was laying out every single man he fought on PBC

Fury's resume is mediocre. That's the truth. 39 completely faded Wlad is his bes win and by far.

Really? That applies to Loma, Uysk. Compare their short resumes to Fury's and if you're honest, you will understand my statement.
