i am having a hard time believing a skull can be dented by a hand. One area is sheeted with plates of bone and the other area ( the hand) consist of small bones. Gloves are worn to protect the fragile hands against something as hard as the skull. What I believe to be denting is swelling . I also feel like you can dent a slab of clay because it can change form. Skull doesnt change form. It shatters, it breaks, it cracks.
Do bones dent? and if so, it s not denting and chaging shape is it? does the other side of the bone now protrude into his brain? If so he propbably could not talk or walk or be suffering from some neurological issue as the protruding part of the skull would be pushing against his brain?

My guess is odd swelling. Anyone can swell differently in different areas.

A clean punch delivers enough PSI to KO a human, the concussion usually happens before reaching the point of breaking the bone or any other organ, that is the evolutionary purpose of the CNS shutdown. In theory a gloved man punching a restrained man can eventually crack the skull and reach the brain, that is not possible in boxing, because boxers get knocked down at lesser damage levels

 

Don't give that explanation to DW on any social media. I doubt it would cause any denting but your logic would make DWs brain explode

 

That doesn't hold any water, because the punch doesn't limit itself to the amount of force needed to simply knock a person out. The power of the punch is equal to the power of impact, thus able to do as much damage as possible with the total amount of power minus the crumple zone of the fist+glove.

 

When I was 15 years old I got a dent above my eye brow after clashing heads with another fool in a mosh pit.

 

Did Wilder ever provide the medical proof? I'd be interested in seeing the X Ray which shows his skull, or facial bones were actually caved in.
