not as big as the major players, he isn't.
but if what you say is true then it shows why some fighters take a steady payday over their careers.

Kessler appeals to the mainstream audience in DK. Enough to warrant ppv cards that cost 100 usd, much to my regret.
I assume that even though Mosley is not as huge as Pac and Mayweather there are enough people in the US that are interested in his fights no?

kessler is a star in denmark and people know about him internationally since the calzaghe fight, but i'm not sure what point you're trying to make regarding mosley.

mosley has always fought on the world stage so of course he's a big name.

My point is I'm quite sure Mosley makes more than 1 mill usd per fight. Of course i can't substantiate that, but hey this is ESB :D.
Wouldn't you be surprised if you were told that Mosley earned less than a mill per fight?

yeah i would but mosley's a better boxer than kessler and will be rightly remembered that way.

maybe i'm not getting it, but are you defending kessler's status?

Not at all. I were just pointing out to another poster that I knew Kessler made more than 1 mill a fight and I was pretty sure that Mosley did too.

Did you not read the thread topic :D

    Hmmm.... :think

    Maybe the question should be:
Does Mosleys ex wife make more than 1 mill usd per fight?

eh... its a combination of the Promoter's ability to make the most out of an event(well, thats their job) and the Fighter's fan draw. MMA has sucked up quite a bit of the fan base, including the PPVs, so that drops down the financial draw that boxing USED to get pre-mma.

JCC jr. can pull off big paydays because of his fanbase extending from his father's and his fluffed up win/loss column and a good promotion. As long as there's large amounts of people buying into the event, there will be a good payday, whether or not there's a title belt involved.

This thread explains exactly why boxers like the klitschkos, Maymather, Pac and other top guys are always being called out. They generate the most cash and the challengers is 100% guaranteed to get a million or more $$
