Well my wife is pretty big boxing fan. She boxed for 4 years. My parents are into it, and 2 of my older brothers are into it.

So usually my brothers will come to my house with their wives and we'll all watch, admittedly my wife is the only female that is really into it though.

I know of one other guy that is a pretty big boxing fan that is a friend. Havent talked to him in a couple of months though.

I've got a decent amount where I'm at. They're basically all at my job which is where I win (and occasionally lose) all my bets. There's always at least some kind of hysteria surrounding a big fight and I'm never at a loss for people to watch the fight with. Worse comes to worse, there's always the sports bar. :cheers

    now i have moved
    1
a mate of mine from the markets called gypsy john.

    other than that
my mum is an oap , but has loved boxing all her life and she knows all the current boxers there styles and abiltys way more than any other bloke i know.

sad indctment of how boxing has slipped in the uk.

in the 80`s every man and his dog new all the uk boxers at least and because american boxing was shown weekly on sportsnight and grandstand , most new about world boxing as well.

Funny you mention your wife. My wife actually watched the ding fight (i think she felt sorry for me) with me the other nite. She really can appreciate the art of fighting but she hates to see someone getting hurt. I am afraid she is becoming enamored with viscious boxer though:nono She is attracted to the tough/confident type

A few that follow all the fights and weightclasses and a handful that watch only the big fights.

    Everyone here on ESB.

But at home. I try to keep my parents into it. My mom hates Floyd. They both hate Larry Merchant. My dad lost interest in boxing after the Hagler-Leonard fight. He said he was a huge Leonard fan but there was no way he won. And felt that boxing was becoming to corrupt. Specially with Don King on the rise.

But my friend friends. I have one close buddy, we use to be real tight now we rarely talk. He had skills, he could of taken it to the next level and done real good but he never had support from his parents.

I just talk to another friend now if we are both online, our schedule conflicts so we dont get to talk as much.

My wife is into boxing pretty big time. She gets bugged if she misses a fight. Not as bugged as I do, but she'll get annoyed.
