Ok. I wasn't sure if there was one definite one that everyone used or if they'd all spit out about the same number.
.....it all depends on age weight height....if i were intaking 1500 calories a day with training i would destroye my immune system get ill or injured....RDA for an average man is 2500 (with moderate exercise)
Yep that is why I said at least 1500. Anyone going much below that amount is asking for trouble. And like I said it depends what you are doing and what your short/long terms goals are. I try to take in about 3000 to aid my fitness regime.
17, 148, 5 foot 11 inches I figured I should be eating about 3000kcal at least, but I am trying to drop weight, so I lowered it to 2450 a day. Sound about right?
2450/2500 sounds about right, but then it all depends on the type of food your intaking, 2500 of crap food will get you slimmer but will destroyye your muscles fitness ect...But if your eating healthy it shouldnt be a problem, how much are you looking to loose?
I've been wondering what level of activity you would put for those calorie calculators? I lift 4x a week and I do HIIT/Tabatta 2x and some aerobic type stuff one day. I'm a student, so I'm sitting down for 7 hours a day.
http://www.nutritiondata.com/tools/calories-burned I'd say that you are 'active'. When I use this one I put active and it reads about 200+ calories than I actually eat typically.
