How many clean shots would Julian Jackson need to knock Hagler out cold?

It would have to be a barrage.

But what would happen is this:

    1. Jackson lands flush on Marvin.

    2. Marvin gets pissed off.

    3. Marvin beats the **** out of Jackson.

That's pretty much what would happen.

It's a bit childish this thread but i'll play along and say that, Jackson could land all day on 'The Marvelous One' and just end up with damaged hands. lol
In reality who knows? I feel like i'm back in a 1980's playground.
Remember Mugabi was a KO artist and he caught Hagler with bombs that had little effect!

Something most people don`t know about Hagler. Years before he won the title, he underwent a CT scan for a fight. The neurologist called Goody and Pat in for a meetind to discuss something they saw in the scan. They were told that Hagler had an abnormally thick skull. Goody figured that it gave Hagler and advantage against an opponents power shots. Maybe thats why Hearns broke his hand (knucle, finger ?) on Haglers hard dome... I don`t think JJ could hurt Hagler...

The question is how many of Haglers could he take while trying to land.

Jackson could KO anyone he hit with one of his Hay-makers and it only takes one snowball to start an avalanche...one punch leads to others

problem with Hagler despite a great chin and the ability to move away and box, Hag had good recuperative ability and could box and punch and do so when needed....tough task to KO Hagler but not impossible, especially for a puncher like JJ

Exactly...ANYBODY...Hagler included, could be stopped with the bingo shot landing on the button. As good as Hagler's chin was, he never kept it in harms way for very long for anybody to get lucky on....he was way too smart for that.

But the trick is, Jackson would have to trade with Hagler to land the power shots. in an exchange Hagler could take a couple , Jackson could not. simular to Hearns. Jackson would start backpeddling, negating maximum needed leverage. Jackson's lack of defense, would spell his doom. Hagler would storm foreward eventually getting to Jackson in about the fifth.

If Hagler gets set for the shot then Jackson will just end up breaking his hand.

If he doesn't see the shot coming then he could wobble Hagler (Hearns did) but I would guess that it would take probably 4-5 to knock him out. Only if he doesn't see any of these shots coming though.

McCallum aside, Hagler has a better chin than any fighter Jackson ever faced.

Certainly JJ could have ko'ed Hagler if he hit him right...contrary to popular belief, NO MAN is indestructible...but as Bummy said, how much could Jackson take while trying to land that perfect shot on Hagler....I say not much.
