I'm seeing a bunch of Nostradamuses acting like they called the fight like it happened. I'm also seeing people make **** up about Ruiz' abilities and think that everyone will validate it blindly because Ruiz won. Then get mad when you poke holes in their analysis.

AJ was hurt trying to finish Ruiz and never recovered. Before getting caught up with Ruiz' supposed abilities, consider that he fought a hurt fighter for the rest of the fight. If you are not one of those making bull**** deep analysis and you just think Ruiz will outfight him again and AJ's shaky chin won't last. That's much more reasonable.

I'm no big AJ fan, I think he's robotic, a little slow, and has a shaky chin, but he does have skills and power, I like his punching technique and combinations, it's pretty smooth. it's no secret I'm no fan of this HW era, period. I'm not even remotely mad that he lost.

Put up or shut up? How many defenses does Ruiz make? I give him 2 at most if one of those is AJ. Unless he fights bums, I don't see more than that. To me, he's at the level of a random Wlad defense that Wlad leveled and was called a bum after the fight.

    It depends who he fights.
If he fights some of the bums and old men who Joshua and Wilder fought, he might manage 8 or 9.
If he does what we like a champion to do and seeks out the best available, it's a tougher task.

I think everyone knows he's a defeat waiting to happen. Haymon won't mess around with letting him fight lower level guys, because there is an excellent chance one of them beats Ruiz. I think he probably faces AJ next. I'd make AJ a slight favorite for that fight, but if Ruiz wins again, I think he fights Wilder immediately after that. And he definitely loses to Wilder. So, maybe one successful defense, maybe none.

Yeah, I don't think him beating AJ is a given at all like some claim here.
