Start training for amateur fights when I get done with college and stay active and get a lot of those and good experience.
The good thing is I am doing well on my fitness and staying in shape, my running is good and getting better, so is my rope skipping, I'm doing the stairclimber machine now too, and I should probably put some sprints and swimming in there. Maybe some basketball too.

when he says slip i think he mean head movement to put the opponent off. I think it sounds like a good combination. I do drills with these sort of combinations. It would work because you are mixing up the punches. I wil try it.
    I have a simluar comination.

    jab, right

    slip

    right left right

    slip

    right upp, jab, right.

    It does work

the amount of combinations you practice should not be limited unless you are a beginner. you should practice combos from 2 punches up to 15 (yes this can and has been pulled off in fights). prepare for every situation. practice it over and over, so when in a fight it will hopefully come instinctively.

You are so far off the mark with this point it is laughable, you have actually just made yourself look a bit silly. Jeff's credentials are well proven, and have been time and time again on this forum.

Well thats a nice way to go 15 in a year I had like 12-13 I believe in my first year. Now that im back I wanna fight twice a month agian if possible. Being a boxer gave me purpose and a reason to get up in the AM. I miss those days.

Its all good, your initial post about the combinations was daft and unrealistic. Having boxed amateur and professional at a good standard I can tell you that that combination you posted was a willy waving exercise. It wouldn't work and that you don't understand why is the reason that I question your boxing credentials. Boxing doesn't work like that- most fighters are lucky to string a three punch combo together succesfully.

A drill is a series of movements rehersed to improve neuro-musclar response (right- cleverer people ???) among other things. A combination is a short burst of punches designed to be used in a contest. Its rare that all the punches you attempt in a three punch combo will be succesful- let alone a ten punch combo.

Whats your name and what club are you at?

    All the best,
