How many elites will Canelo beat in his career?

Wake me up when he beats one. For me he's 0-4 against elites. (Lara, Mayweather, GGG x2)

 

If somebody scored the fight to Lara , then there's no reason why they shouldn't have scored the first fight to Canelo if they are applying the same standards of scoring to each fight.

Both played out similarly, except for the fact that Lara didn't engage Canelo as much or effectively as Canelo did against Golovkin.

2 fights, right? 12 rounds each? That means 24 individual little fights, of three minutes' duration. You score all 24, by themselves, in a vacuum. That's how you score fights on a RBR basis. You don't paint a "narrative of the fight", you don't compare the stylistic complexion of a fight to another. You score all twelve mini-fights, and then you tally up the points. I'm pretty ****ing good at doing that. There is nobody on here (and precious few professional judges) that can really claim to be consistently better at it than me. And I say Lara beat Canelo, and GGG beat him twice. End of story.

 

They were completely different fights. One has NOTHING to do with the other... but I've noticed this is your M.O.. you ALWAYS have to attempt to compare one thing to another, piggybacking on the strength of what you are trying to compare. Never took you for a 'thinker' anyway...

 

Lara had to collect those points for you to score the rounds for him and thats what im questioning - how he won the rounds , not how many rounds he won.
Lara lost that fight on my card for being too reluctant to engage and for running away too much , as in sprinting form one side of the ring to another.
Canelo hit him up and down with body and head shots and dictated the majority of the fight. He outlanded Lara with better accuracy and better punch variety.
GGG was playing the role of Canelo in the Lara fight ,yet he didn't hit Canelo with the same frequency of accurate clean punching that Canelo hit Lara with.

 

It doesn't matter; your word salad and the whole theory behind it don't matter. Identifying similarities in "roles played" doesn't matter. All that matters is scoring each of those individual 24 rounds. I did. I had Lara winning. Then I had GGG winning (twice). For a complete RBR breakdown of which rounds I gave to whom (and why) you can look at the respective threads. But there you have it. Two separate fights. If he was "playing the role of Canelo (vs. Lara)" against Canelo, then GGG did so more effectively than Canelo himself did against Lara.

The more you try to create incompatible templates, the more obvious it you have NO knowledge of the sport...

 

I went looking for the Canelo / Lara rbr recently but it doesn't seem to be available anymore

 

Canelo outlanded a fleeing Lara on power punches by significant margin. Golovkin was not able to do the same to Canelo who held his ground a lot more than Lara did.

 

You can't sum up twelve individual rounds in a two sentence paragraph.
