Heres some rugby dudes to counter the silly NFL argument This content is protected Andrew sheridan england rugby player, he lifts at near olympic standard class, and of course plays in rugby a game with little breaks, and has to tackle and scrum down maybe a few dozen times per game while running up and down the pitch From Wiki "Sheridan is 6 feet 4 inches tall, which is unusually tall for a prop, and weighs 18 stone 10 pounds . He is known for his great physical strength - he is a near-elite class powerlifter and able to bench press 225 kilograms (33 st, over 495 lb) and squat 275 kilograms (over 600 lb)" Im sure many NFL guys can lift more, but could they run the whole game without breaks like the elite rugby guys do ?, the pro game at the top now is fierce, defences have got both more sophisticated, but all so brutal to break down This content is protected Sébastien Chabal 6ft 3, 18 stone or so, one of the hardest tacklers in rugby, also very fast for his size, able to break tackles and make ground, and again with little breaks. Any way rugby is littered with guys like this, check the size of some of the Samoan and maori guys, they are ****ing brutal when they tackle, its part of there culture to hit hard, most look like ****ing tua, and i bet would make decent to very good boxers
I keep bringing up the "roots" of the English language because you cited the language we are presently speaking/typing as if you somehow enjoy a greater right to it than I do. You don't. In fact, since I have German blood flowing through my veins, I can probably stake a greater claim than you can, irrespective of your geographic location. As to HTML? What is your point?? That Tim Berners Lee has been credited with its invention?? And? It scarcely makes me jealous, any more than the visiting an English website (eastsideboxing.com) does.
How can I be simultaneously ignorant and yet bang on right about the issue-- a point you concede when you admit that European boxers have not been as good historically as American?? I don't need wikipedia to discuss the origins of the English language. Do you?? The last time I checked, its Germanic roots were common knowledge. Or perhaps it is you who is ignorant?? Thanks for playing, however, and better luck next time. :hi:
How am I xenophobic?? I have no irrational fear of foreigners. Rather, I simply do not like the English. I have, for example, no quarrel with the Germans, Irish, Scottish, Italians, ect and et al.
jealous that we can make cheese and chocolate, something the US has failed at over and over. So do you hate me Hoopsman? My family come from Northumberland, througout time the border between england and scotland has changed over and over, my family are both scottish and english (depending on where the border is at that point in history). I see you suffer from anglophobia, its ok, its something americans get (seems to only be americans), and is thought to come from an inferior complex.
