I remember Cintron dominating Angulo with his scant boxing Skills, I don't see Angulo having improved much since then, and Lara is levels above Cintron.

Why would the Angulo people take this fight? who knows what machinations are going on behind the scenes. I'm looking for the angles on this one.

I cant see Lara losing unless he is robbed or unless he has suddenly lost interest and drive for the sport of boxing and is looking for a payday? AKA Cintron vs Alvarez.

    thoughts???

It depends on how well Angulo fights. If Lara wins by a large margin, which I expect him too, I doubt he will get robbed again.

Definite chance. Lara was out boxing the **** out of vanes and somehow got a draw.

Angulo would be a good matchup for canelo after mayweather whips him. Lara would outbox canelo easy.

Lara doesn't punch enough. His work rate is low. Even if he is outboxing a guy, he won't get the benefit of the doubt on the cards, because of his low work rate.

Angulo does not have the skillset to take rounds off this guy.

And if he does and proves me wrong, Lara should reconsider his boxing career.

that's kind of what Im alluding to, Im sure Golden showers wants no part of Lara, so they rob him vs Angulo so they can can feed Angulo to Alvarez, and thereby sidestepping the potential matchup of Lara vs Canelo which Team Golden fluge wants no part of. tHEY DONT WANT THEIR APPLECART TURNED OVER.

Hopefully Lara thinks he'll get robbed and fights with some urgency.

Dude's got to realize that, even though winning is the most important thing, there's style points involved if you want big fights. His effort against Vanes was dismal (unless one thinks he was just that concerned about Vanes' power) for a guy who wanted a superfight with Canelo.

He's too talented to fight like he did in that fight. Or maybe I'm just overrating him, who knows. All I do know is that it's in his best interest to make a statement against Alfredo if he's serious about wanting big money fights.

Team Angulo takes this fight because they see an opportunity to break down Lara and knock him out regardless of how far ahead Erislandy is on the cards. Maybe they have a gut feeling this could be another Mayorga-Forrest scenario.

How accurate that theory is remains to be seen. But I have no doubt they're going for the knockout.

My 2 cents is that this is a great showcase fight for Lara, but he's got to take the reigns and run with it. This shouldn't go the distance.

nah, I think it will be too one sided to even get robbed in.

Lara could very well win every round, which if they were trying to rob him should still give him a SD victory.
