Yes, if anyone gets robbed it will be Angulo. However, Lara was robbed when he fought Paul Williams, so was Martinez in their first fight.

Unless Angulo miraculously KO's Lara, the fight will be too one sided for Lara to lose. Angulo has the gas tank of a top fuel race car, he is in for a beating.

My post fight eval, in 5 points:

    1) Team Angulo saw the right opportunity, executed their plan better than I thought, and nearly pulled off the upset. I don't know how likely a rematch is because of how long it'll take Angulo to heal, which is a shame.

    2) I did overrate Lara. It turns out the Molina and Vanes fights weren't flukes. He just doesn't like facing fighters like that.

    3) Lara did impress me with his toughness and will to win. Full credit for pulling out a W when it looked like he was on his way to losing.

    4) He didn't put on the showcase performance I expected or the kind to force the other top guys into fighting him. Angulo was tough, but I overestimated Lara's ability to blow him out. That's closer to the level the casual fan's are going to put him at right now because his last two performances weren't heads and shoulders above his opponents, who weren't really world beaters themselves.

    5) Lara should target Trout next.

I had Lara pegged for being a lot better then he is.

It happens. Sometimes the difference in skill just doesn't compensate like it should on paper when one guy's kryptonite to the other, kind of like Forrest-Mayorga.

And that's why I don't bet real money on fights anymore.
