How many fighters 218lbs or under could have beaten a prime M.Tyson?

Foreman was too slow and easy to hit.
    Liston has a good chance
    Ali gets KOd
Louis does not last 1 round
Holyfield will loose with all his steroids

No, he didn't have Tyson's number. Tyson's skills were simply diminished compared to the 80s version and he was a cokehead and an alcoholic.

Holy wasn't a particularly elusive target against Moorer any which way you splice it. If you had said prior to Tyson-Holy that Holy really had improved since 1992 you'd be laughed out the room. Absolutely no one thought that at the time. This is revisionism in its purest form.

But to cut to the chase: Imagine Ali being stopped twice by the post Foreman version of Frazier and a poster here saying that a prime Ali still would destroy a prime version of Joe.

You'd laugh at that and think that poster was a deluded fanboy, right? Well, that's exactly how you come across. Your standpoint on Holy-Tyson is not one bit more valid.

Just to give you some perspective.

Actually, he's one of the few who stand a chance.

My question would be how many fighters over 220 beat prime Tyson? If skills matter ( And they do.) Not any.
The fighters that defeat Tyson 220 lbs and under are the fighters that beat him period.

Yeah, but top five what is the question. Top five of the over 60's champs at heavyweight? Who are the other four?

Paul Harvey would have taken Tyson into deep water and drowned him.

Well, Holyfield punched him up real good when he was just a light heavyweight at the '84 Olympic tryouts. So..

    Holyfield
    Ali
    Frazier
    Marciano
    Louis
    Walcott
    Liston
    Foreman

Top 5 of all time, not over 60s or whatever you meant.
The other 4 are Tyson, Lewis, Vitali, Holmes/Bowe.

He never stopped anyone as good as them, you have no basis to make such conclusion. Especially with Ali who was almost impossible to stop in his prime.
