What percentage of fighters do you think have this mentality where legacy is the #1 priority, not making money?

De La Hoya took on more P4P fighters in recent history than anyone else.

    Oh yeah...

Lejha deserved a shot more than Nazarov
Oba Carr deserved a shot more than Quartey (rematch)
Gatti deserved a shot more than Tszyu
Campas deserved a shot more than Forrest
Mayorga deserved a shot more than Wright

DLH is the least expected option, he fought bums SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY EARN MONEY TOO

i hate dlh as much as you do, but he did fight the best competition out there. and got paid for it. but the fact is that he did fight them.
but what he is doing now is pure bull****.

not many really but its a short carear so i dont blame them
I mean look at Joe C now taking on top ranked guys and earning a bomb (i would reckon) after fighting some weak opposition for years. I think hes legacy is defo on his mind now. I think Hatton may end up doing the same thing in another year

If your first priority as a pro boxer is not money, you need psychological help IMO.

Once fighters have money, then they go for more money.

They tend to do the greater work of their legacy earlier on before they're extremely rich, when they're hungry and poor (or merely middle class).
