LaMotta was dropped by Nardico.

Off the top of my head, some iron chinned fighters that were never done, as far as I know.

Marcos Villasana.

Tex Cobb, outside of his cocaine money quit job.

Vitali Klitschko, I don't believe the Sander's one was ruled a knockdown.

Marion Wilson. I've heard he was knocked down early in his career but he's denied that in multiple interviews and he's a very honest guy.

Granite jawed Randy Smith, 33 losses and never stopped. Fought everyone from Eubank to Hopkin's to Nunn too.

 

Indeed he did, and Hagler like Toney has an official KD as well.

 

Russell, I believe Eddie Gregg dropped Tex near the end of his career and before that 1 rounder, which was a sham. Also, I'm glad someone remembers Randy Smith. An outstanding amateur, but slipped into journeyman as a pro. I recently ran into LeeRoy Murphy and asked him about Randy Smith. He said Randy died about 15 years ago. Curiously, that's about the last time he fought. Don't know anymore on the subject. Nobody seems to know about this or what happened to him.

Y'know, I saw this fight but don't recall a knockdown. He took an absolute lacing from Chavez, Trinidad and DeLaHoya at this time, but I don't remember him down. Anyone have any research on this or maybe it's on youtube???

DLH dropped him, without doubt.

 

Here's a short little bit from the AP report from the day after the fight (Sept 14th, 1997), which mentions de La Hoya knocking Camacho down in the 9th;


"LAS VEGAS (AP) - Oscar De La Hoya couldn't fulfill his prediction of knocking out Hector Camacho. Instead, he had to settle for beating him up Saturday night at the Thomas & Mack Center.

De La Hoya ripped Camacho with punishing left hooks to the body, wobbled him several times and knocked him down in the ninth round with thunderous head shots to retain the WBC welterweight championship on a unanimous decision."


From there it just went on to talk about the CompuBox numbers and the scoring of the judges.

i remember him being hurt against demarcus corley but i dont think he was KD

was locche ever dropped i never saw him on the deck

Ah, ****. That's ungodly depressing.

He emulated Ali and you could see it in the ring with some of the cute stuff he did. Underrated fighter. He could have been so much more if he had management and or more then a weeks notice for taking fights.

And Lee Roy Murphy? As in the one who fought Mutti in the real life Rocky II? :happy:happy:happy
