Lennox Lewis is the best fighter ever to come out of this country, and then Joe Calzaghe is a close 2nd in my opinion.

Since the fall of Lennox Lewis & Joe Calzaghe.

In my opinion David Haye has been are best fighter, the jump from CW to Heavyweight is the most physically demanding task any fighter can do. You hear all these people makig a big deal of Manny Pac or Floyd Mayweather fighting guys afew pounds heavyier, on a regular basis David Haye was fighting guys 2-3 stones heavyier than himself. This achievement by far, surpasses anything Froch, Khan or Ricky Hatton done in my opinion.

David Haye's ability is underrated, but he is a gifted athlete. The sport actually lacks gifted athlete's, motor skils, power to weight ratio, speed, athletism etc...

Plus he's not a bad boxer, technically.

And Evander Holyfield has achieved more outstanding physical feats past the age of 40! more than Bernard Hopkins.

Even still, I would have Froch over everyone at this point. Haye never beat Cunningham so isn't undisputed at CW. His HW career was short and he fought old and limited fighters, found out as soon as he challenged the man.

Khan is doing well but has struggled to beat Maidana and Peterson (won without deductions), if he beats Peterson handily and maybe Bradley then I would have him close to equal of Froch. A successful run at WW puts him above Froch at this point (Froch still to move up and make a name).

Cleverly, fringe level world class fighter. Not even close.

Burns, fought no-one of real note bar Martinez. Beating the likes of Rios makes a statement but Burns would have to beat Rios, Gamboa, JMM to surpass Froch imo.

Haye needs to beat both Klits to top off Froch.

    That's it really.

I agree with Haye's talents but lets not forget Haye's best win was over Valuev. A guy that was beaten and gifted a win against Holyfield in Switzland, whom himself was a CW originally, he was also old and shot when he beat Valuev. That pretty much pisses on Hayes great feat parade.

Holyfield fought Bowe, Tyson, Lewis and always been competitve. Haye ran like Usain Bolt when he got in with Wlad. A fighter that Bowe, Tyson and Lewis would of all dispatched of.

    I'd rate Hatton over Haye.

Calzaghe doesnt have the names? He beat Jeff Lacey who was being hailed as the next big thing to come out of america? Joes beating ended laceys career he was never the same again after the beating he recieved of joe in manchester. He then beat Bernard Hopkins in America Kessler with ease and won the world title againts chris eubanks he has lots of good names on his resume.
Oh yeah dont forget the wins over bryon mitchell and omar sheika.

Froch keeps himself in tremendous condition. He can fight Bute, Kessler and move up to LHW to then fight Ward if he chooses too, he could fight and beat Cleverly in a massive Uk showdown too.

    He has 5 fights imo.

I am a massive Calzaghe fan as many know. I am however a realist. Whilst he has the talents he hardly showed them off and was a stay at home fighter. His promoter is to blame for his lacklustre record. Compare Calzaghe's record to Hopkins and it's night and day. He will be judged by the fights he didn't have rather than the ones he has had. I know that because I have defended him for the last 4 years.

He has loads in him but at this level can he stop a couple of losses? Kessler rematch? Bute? Some would think that would result in 3 losses in a row.

Bute, Pascal rematch, Kessler rematch and then he's done. Kessler rematch won't even happen after 3 straight losses.
