who knows man?i dont think hes slowed down any since he first won the wbo title,so he could very well be goin strong in 4-5 years time.
Not long. His style of fighting is mentally draining. He knows he often has to claw back a deficit. Mentally and physically that takes its toll. Enjoy Margarito while you can.
Probably 5-6 more fights at his peak before he starts to decline if he keeps taking punishment from big punchers. It all depends on who he faces because if he fights guys like Collazo, Quintana, Berto and Mayweather that should definitely extend his prime. If he moves up to 154 against all the big young punchers that could cut his longevity down by quite a bit. Either way I don't see him in the game past 35yrs of age at the extreme. The only thing going for him is he doesn't smoke or drink and takes good care of his body for the most part. I hear he sleeps at like 10pm and is always in the gym like Mayweather Jr.
Hard to say because we haven't seen him decline one bit, but his style is bound to catch up with him sooner or later.
I remember Oscar Bonavena, like Margarito he was one tough son-of-a-*****. Too bad he got shot in a whorehouse. Somebody should warn Margarito! :yep
I don't think you'll see Margie in a den of iniquity and house of ill repute anytime soon.....he appears to have better character than that. However, as far as how many fights he has left in him.....depends on who the opponents are. Fighters such as Margie look invicncible until one moment from the next. Some show decline over a period of time such as Gatti. Margie will show it in the ring and he will be the last one to know it.
5??? Hell no. He'll be done in 2 years if not faster. Fighters with his style are usually done at 30.:deal
