How many fights are usually featured on boxing events? Like the MW-Maidana fight apparently has like 5+ fights on the card but they only advertise like 4 of them, does it vary depending on the event? I heard the average is like 6-8 fights but yeah
It varies by commissions. Such as, here in Georgia a promoter must have a minimum of 50 scheduled rounds. The promoter can have FOUR 12 round fights & ONE 4 round fight, FIVE 10 round fights, or any combination that equals 50 scheduled rounds. Many promoters use "fill-in" bouts to reach the required commission rounds protocol.
