Barry, that is a reasonable response and I thank you for it - I bet a shiny pound you change your mind come fight night and spend a small amount to watch all the big names in action. Cheers.
So let's get this right the hardcore as they like to potray themselves as Wont buy this out principle, defintion of hardcore 1. The most dedicated, unfailingly loyal faction of a group, sport or organization So for £17 these guys who claim to eat sleep and breathe boxing, will refuse to pay £17 even though lets not kid on there is fights on there as a big boxing fan it would be a crime to miss out on. If anyone doesn't buy this card they should just admit to being a casual and hardcores hate casuals!
I don't think anyone's necessarily calling themselves "hardcore" mate. They just think the card is **** and don't particularly want to pay extra to watch it for that and a number of other reasons. You do. If that makes you more hardcore or vice versa... Who cares.
I think you're scaremongering slightly there,Barry. Im my own man. I heard Hearn say in an interview the other day that next year there'd be 20 shows not PPV ,and a handful of PPV. Now Im not saying I believe everything he says, but if he veered significantly from that Id reconsider, and hope others would too. You said earlier you liked boxing. For want of a better word Id describe myself as an anorak. Not proud or otherwise of that. Personal choice mate.
For every person not willing to pay, there is another who is. Get over it. It's a business decision. If you don't understand that then stick to arguing with other people in Internet Land and keep telling yourself how brilliant your own opinion is.
I wont buying. There is a heavyweight world title fight on eurosport tonight and it doesn't involve Ppv. So how does that work match room? And you want people to pay for bellew cleverly? hahahahahahahaha. Not happening here. Ever. I wasn't born yesterday.
Not at all , this card seems to be not good enough for the 'hardcore' they say it is to please the casual there is 4 good fights on it What does the hardcore fan do for boxing? rather than sit on a internet forum and moan, do they buy ppvs which hearn would use to put back into boxing do they buy tickets? nope.
No sorry the people I know and they are boxing fans are not buying it I'd say Hearn could be looking at a 1 out of every 5 buy rate compared to other PPV boxing events held in the uk
In that case did you doesn't apply. But I think would you does. Would you have bought it if you had been in the country?
I go to shows. I've bought most of the previous PPV's I subscribe to Sky. All of those things contribute to boxing and in turn enable me to have an opinion. Do I consider myself hardcore? No. Do I think this is PPV worthy? No. It's simple really. If people think the fight is worth it they'll pay for it. Lets wait and see.
Well, whether or not the fight was on,the pub would cost me a lot more than 17 quid. The question is would I see the fight? If I didn't have SKY i wouldn't fancy a pub crawl in the hope of seeing a PPV fight. I reckon a lot less than one percent of the pubs in this country will be showing it,though due to this forum I do know one in central London that is. Im in the same boat as you, though,so Ill just be buying it.
