How many former fans are having trouble justyfying Pavliks recent actions?

I used to be a big Pavlik supporter, since the Hopkins loss, the reluctance to face Abraham and the Williams fiasco...I no longer can justify my support of him...this latest move is just too obvious a duck! to accept.

There's a million threads on this already, general consensus is that he is ducking Williams. Wise consensus is that a staph infection is very serious and he had just cause to cancel the fight. This is in no way a duck but with the hype machine of Paul Williams I'm not surprised that people regard it as such.

I'm disapointed in Pavlik as I am a fan, but he isn't finished yet so hopefully he will prove to be great yet

I was disappointed that he didn't fight Abraham. Maybe he just hasn't recovered from that Hopkins beatdown.

I was a huge fan! But Kelly failed to fight Arthur Abraham and now Williams. I can not continue to support such actions!

Pavlik got injured. You cannot do anything about that. It's how his TEAM handled the whole situation which makes intelligent and objective fans highly disappointed. The Team absolutely left HBO and Williams out in the cold and if they couldn't make the Martinez fight, Williams, the healthy fighter would've forced by Team Pavlik to take the year off with the injured dude returning to the ring in December. :-(

    Can you believe that ****?

Pavlik always seemed genuine to me but i just don't know what the **** is going on with him - is it personal problems or are his injuries real?
He has a lot of doubters at the minute,i'm not one of them ....yet.
Hopefully he recovers and goes on to have a big 2010

Funny we get all this anti-pavlik threads when reality is that he is doing exactly what he needs to do. He picked an opponent he can beat with one good hand, who would take the fight on short notice, so the WBC would not strip him for inactivity. There is a huge difference between being healthy enough to fight Miguel Espino, and being healthy enough to fight Paul Williams. I'm actually some what ashamed to be associated with a sport where the average fan is to stupid to understand that.
