I'd say many more then David Diaz...which is quite a few. Although you never know Hatton could just as easily walk onto the perfect shot.

I think the better question is how many times does Hatton have to hit manny before Manny starts to feel the power. Everyone knows that Hatton is going to get hit alot. But if Manny can't deal with too many shots from hatton its not going to matter much...

Manny doesn't have a check hook dude:patsch If any one shot is making is the stars its going to be the straight Right after the Jab.

Ofcourse the most likely senario is that Hatton gets down my volume.

Manny can land 144 of those little right hooks of his and Hatton won't go down. Pacquiao's fully loaded left hand is a different story, however. I don't imagine it would take very many of those to shake Hatton up badly. But how many of those will he be able to land with the aid of his forward momentum behind them? Not many, IMV, if Hatton is doing a good Hatton impersonation. It's a good question you ask.

    "Hominy grits."
    "A gazillion!"
    - from "The Foreigner" ...sorry.

It'll be interesting to see how many straight lefts Hatton will be able to avoid with his defensive discipline up... and how many hit if/when his discipline goes out the window. If Pac feels safe enough to set his feet, 8-10 good lefts should get a decent knockdown. Feeling comfortable to set his feet against a charging Hatton is going to take a long time, though.

Let's not continue to keep Pac so one-demensional when the guy's come so far.

The kid's developed into quite the decent little counter-puncher...and this is one of the skills that helped him draw and squeeze by Marquez, who is arguably one of the greatest counter-punchers the sport has ever seen.

His footwork and abililty to slip off the ropes is gonna mean a great deal on a victory over Hatton as well.

Straight lefts from Pac are not gonna take Ricky down.

When mayweather took 'eem down for the stop, Hatton's momentum served to make that left hook look more brutal than it actually was.

    :blabla^

This thread is about Pacquiao's left hand, and his hopes of hurting Hatton with that left hand. NOTHING ELSE. There are no implications otherwise. Nobody needs a generic history lesson or a ****ing sermon.

Pacquiao landed two counterpunches of note against his fellow boxer-fencer Marquez in their rematch; the frantic defensive hookercut that scored him the early KD, and a 'no look' straight left later in the fight that won him a crucial round. Other than that he did nothing but repititively load up on his left hand to keep himself in that fight. We know the ****ing story.

Hatton's momentum did NOT help Mayweather's check hook, it helped the ring post. Hatton being physically spent after 10 rounds of collapsing, softened up by 2 dozen clean powershots, airborne, and fully blindsided, helped the counter hook that Mayweather landed with.

Interesting... I am a tad bit surprised the votes are indicating that the majority doesn't seem to think Pacquiao can hurt Hatton with his best punch. :think

You should hear Larry Merchant talk about Pacquiao's left hand..

Pacman only needs 1 good left to knock Hatton's head off the ring!
