i think "primes" are just bitchass excuses to discredit a fighter. it's like saying "robinson beat an out of prime armstrong so it doesn't count". how does that make any sense? both dela hoya and mosley looked phenomenal for so called "shot" fighters.

    No no no no...

Morales wasn't a PRIME future-HOF'er when Pac beat him.

Remember, you were making a big deal about them being "prime" not too long ago?

Morales was not in his prime, at all.

When did Whitaker lose in his prime?

And if you had to label a stretch of Wladimir's career as being "prime," how could you possibly end up picking the streak that included his losses? He clearly became a better fighter and entered his highest level of competition after his defeats.

Most people would say Oscar's prime was 94-98.

99 he had the Quartey fight and then the Trinidad. Some people scored both against him, and couldn't be dismissed for trolling, while most scored at least one of those against him.

How many of his 10 best career wins did he score after 1998? EDIT: Or 1999...

Don't think Hernandez, Castillo, Hatton, Corrales, or Judah will make it into the HOF. It's WAAAY too early to tell if Alvarez gets into the HOF. Vargas accomplished way more than Alvarez in his age and isn't even considered HOF worthy.

Someone post JCC's resume too, I wanna know which fighters he beat that are/will go to the HOF. Only one I can think of is Camacho.

Arturo Gatti - called a C level fighter and paper champ by Floyd himself is in the hall of fame.

Number of hall of fame opponents doesn't hide his or pacs relatively weak resume.

LOL.. accuses me of "tearing apart Cotto and Marquez" yet you just did it to me with Vitaly. So you're telling me that, at the age of 29 and 32, Vitaly WASN'T in his prime?

Pernell lost to Ramirez and had a draw with Chavez...robberies or not...still a loss/ draw.

Better question is: how many A level fighters has Floyd faced in their or near prime at proper weight?

Castillo and Corrales are like Gatti in terms of the action they provided and contributions to the sports' history... only they actually deserve it a lot more based on merit of what they accomplished.

Genaro is one of the better 130 pounders of all time, continuing to pick up big wins in the division until his final fight.

As for Chavez... not sure off top of my head. Not too many and that has always been my argument that he is overrated by the majority of fans.

I thought you were talking about Wladimir. That is why I say "Wladimir" in my post. Vitali is different. I agree with you... But I also don't rank him in the top 15 of his own division all time, so he isn't exactly on the same level. Once again, before you trip out without reading thoroughly, I thought you were talking about Wladimir and not Vitali.

As for Whitaker, the Chavez fight wasn't a loss and the Ramirez fight was before he was ever a titlist and before he accumulated a single or a second relevant win, if I remember correctly. And they were both consensus robberies. You can't say Whitaker lost to Ramirez and then go and say that Pacquiao beat Bradley twice or that Marquez beat Pacquiao four times. If that is your take, fine. But I would expect you to forever remain consistent and forever side with the official judges' decision then.
