How many heavyweight champions would Povetkin beat?

Im not Povetkins biggest fan, but i do believe he is a very good fighter.

I really hope we see Wilder vs Povetkin soon, that will then at least give us a good idea of where both men stand.

 

Povetkin is the best HeavyWeight not named Klitschko.

And that has probably been the case for the past seven years or so.

 

When you have to cheat to beat somebody , it means that person is better than you. Simple logic. That fraud would never even entertain the thought of a fair fought rematch cos he knows he would get laid out without his judo protection.

Second. He'd shatter WIlder but I think Fury would handle him. If TACKAm could for 6 round , fury could for 12

 

I think the size and youth advantages for Fury and Wilder would make them tough fights for Povetkin, even though he should still be favored at this point.

 

I agree. Fury would have to box VERY cleverly to have a chance against Povetkin and frankly I think Sasha has too much to bring to the table for Fury to manage to deal with all night.

That said, somehow I get the feeling that if somebody lit a fire under Fury's a rse, he has the potential to be much better than he is.

 

The only guy who had issues in that fight was the guy who couldn't beat the 10 count.

Povetkin had far more troubling issues against the Cruiser weight Cunningham stopped. Not only that , but his HW records was far greater than Hucks 0-0-0 when he took Povetkin to the edge.

Povetkin couldn't knock out Chambers and couldn't get close to Tackam who isn't anywhere near as nimble and quick footed as Fury.

Fury would beat Povetkin to the punch with ease , whipping him with hooks and uppercuts. Povetkin spends most of the fight just looking for Fury- Unlike Wlad , Fury can control distance and dance around the ring.

I cheered wildly to the point of almost jumping through the ceiling when Cunningham floored Fury... Tyson was acting like such a douche in that fight by shoving Steve, pounding his chest and taunting him.. Then to ad insult to injury he actually made an attempt to "sing" to the audience when the fight was over...

 

That performance was a shambles. His Uncle and trainer got left behind and he clearly went wayward.

He's since matured , as a boxer and a person. Cunningham could never pull that KD off on todays Fury. He praised Furys ability later when he held him prepare for Haye.

 

Well In fairness "today's" cunningham is 40 years old and has been through a lot of wear and tear. So yeah I agree that a rematch would be a mismatch. As for Fury, I haven't seen much of him since. I was pretty disenchanted. I'll probably be watching when he takes on Klitschko.

 

On the subject of the Klitschkos, You're a twit.

I believe this is universally recognized on here.

The fight was in Russia, Pov's home turf.

Pov was KD'd several times.

At the end of the fight and at least once later, Pov has paid tribute to Wlad as being the best HW in the world.




And the post was not about Klitschko, it was an affirmation of Povetkin's ranking.
