It's not hating on Bute, if you watch the Bika, Berrio and Joppy fights, which are his most recent, you can imagine many situations where Andrade has him frozen up for extended periods in the rounds and is forcing him to trade or offer little in return, both mean Andrade is in control. He'd need to let combinations fly to stall Andrade's attack, he's not shown that against lesser pressuring opponents with chins that can be dented, such as Berrio and Bika, why would he show it now against a guy who brings pressure and workrate, not to mention power in that workrate, up several notches and has a chin that Bute personally cannot dent with his own punching power. It's an easy bout to predict, Bute lacks the defence to adequately outbox him and is not going to have the advantage in a slugfest. That said, Bute's chin did impress me, he absorbed Berrio's best and didn't blink.... only thing is Berrio didn't dig to his body and didn't land frequently, like Andrade will.
I doubt I'll pick Bute-Andrade til the last minute. I'll wait until I've seen everything, training camps, weigh ins, anything to edge one way, because right now I see it being very close. I favoured Bute to take it 7-5, but the more I think about it the more I don't know. The more I watch Bute, having previously only seen the Joppy and Berrio fights the more I doubt him. Bika was a real eye opener.
Apparantly he's a walking punching bag, which his defence is horrific, but the chin, stamina, offense and power are all very good, as is the pressure(he can cut the ring off very well) and the workrate(do you like 100 punches a round?). Not to mention, I have seen him display good timing and tactics even, he's deceptively dangerous. I'd take him over Inkin, Bika, Froch and others. It's not just Bute, I firmly think Andrade's a real danger to all fighters in that division, except for the top elite's, which is now just MK it seems. ****ing Calzaghe taking Jones, irritates me to no end!atsch
Bute is an overated, protected fighter who will build himself a town house within the grounds of the Bell centre in Canada, complete with a little gym. That way he can not only fight every single fight there (with his cheesy dancers, cover band cheering him on) but he can also train and actually live there too. William Joppy ??? hahahahahaha
Well, Bika presents different issue's than Berrio did, even though if Bute had a bad chin, Berrio would have got him. Bika can press better, that's why he had more success. Then people tell me Bute improved, but he looked exactly the same against Berrio and Joppy if you watch what he does carefully, different opponents. Joppy wasn't anything, he ought to have been blasted in 4 or less if a serious statement was to be made and Berrio STILL stole some rounds(4 I think) on pressing Bute, not effectively either, like Andrade does.
Here, if you want to contribute to a serious criticism of Bute, personal stuff doesn't matter, nor how they have events up there in Canada. Just what he does in the ring.
Andrade-Bute is coming up, it can be in Montreal and he still gets owned in the end. His opposition is mostly fine for where he's been at now, Andrade is a huge step up. Doesn't travel, most guys don't these days.
His competition is fine. Tatevosyan is a solid opponent for your 19th fight. Then they move him on against a roughhouse brawler type in Bika, tricky for anybody. Then a huge if limited puncher in Berrio, that tested his chin, could have been very risky Not terrible at all. Joppy was a horrible step in the wrong direction, but now Andrade gets him back on track. Can't complain.
Don't forget his ability to backflip... I don't think Andrade can handle a guy like Bute. Bute is effective enough to make every punch count, which against a guy who can be hit at will like Librado is important. I can see moments where Andrade has him in peril but Bute is so effective with what he does that I'm certain he'd get out of it. I think Andrade will be game and give it a nice effort but he's going to get tagged often by Bute in a 9-3/10-2 sort of scorecard beatdown. Lucien-Kess is the fight to see at 168 nowadays.
You're right ! Larouche's style is the reason for Bute seeming boring in his last 4-5 fights... It was the same style that was taught to a much more limited fighter : ''Eric Lucas''
Well, one of the two is seen as a top guy in his division. One is seen as a threat to any fighter in his division. Here's a hint, it's NOT Andrade. Now please, educate us all with your unbiased opinion...
This is insane...I LOVE watching Bute fight. I think he is sorely underrated on here....and I think he stops Andrade late.
Amsterdam, you are one stupid moron Larouche is SO awfull that he had Lucas and Dorin(two world champions), now Bute is a world champion and Molitor, a guy who is already a world champion fired his last trainer to go to montreal to train with Larouche.. and Diaconu is gonna have a shot to be a world champion.. I bet there is a LOT of trainers who are awefull he is.. you are such a douchebag with no respect
Even before the Joppy fight, Interbox was thinking of Andrade as an optional defense for Bute. I thought then that it was a perfect match-up. I'm sure Andrade has absolutely no chance at all to win more than 3 rounds. Amsterdam and tffp, we'll have to wait 'til we know who is wrong between us! I hope Bute will let his hands go a lot more this time.
