I agree with your Andrade - Margarito comparison.

But - afterall Bute should be able to win this very stiff test of his future. Personally I see Bute as a huge talent that is boxing a safety-first style and gets the job done. I think the Andrade fight will tell us all we need to know. The Bika told us a lot - the Andrade fight will tell us more.

now i got a question.. why is it bute is seen as such a great TALENT..?

the guy is only a year younger then kessler if im not mistaken.. its not like we have this rookie kid, jumping straight out of kindergarden.

its rather weak to claim, that bute is going to improve and improve without any boundaries, taking his age into consideration..

Feller Bute sure does fight scared! It's like he's trying handfeed a crazy horse - he ain't sure if it's gonna bite him as he pushes out his hand! On the other hand, as sure as he sees some hurt or fear in the other feller, he let's it rip on him, watching him like a cat does a mouse. Ain't pretty but sure is effective against the kind of opposition he's been up against so far. Not sold on him doing much against better fighters, though. Guess we'll see soon enough.

Bute only problem is his bad boxing habits. He's trying to look cool but isn't good enough to do it and put up an exciting fight.

what is bute 28.. if thats the case, then he long ago surpassed the age of being called a talent..

he should by now be established. in his physical prime as well. he simply doesnt have so much room for improvements.. thats what im getting at..

fighters being labelled talents, surely isnt close to the age of 30, but age wise below 25..

Just flushing out some Bute haters, DP!;)

I was disappointed to see so many Kessler fans wanting Bute to fail and talking in such disparaging terms of him, especially since Bute fans are the biggest Kessler fans around!:-(

I expected some posters to hate on Bute, but not the Danish fans.:verysad

I can't speak for everyone, but I have absolutely no hatred for Bute. I have always wanted him to be the crown prince after Kessler(ofc). But I don't think he have evolved enough over the last year, but I am happy with his comp. Far better comp as of late than anyone else at 168, save Kessler and Calzaghe.

If he beats Andrade I am very happy, despite being totally off in my prediction. Andrade seems to be wrong for him, but if he proves otherwise I will be very happy. I will root for him to win, even if I like Andrade also, as a person. But I don't call him to win, as it is now.

Btw just because Bute fans are the biggest Kessler fans doesn't mean that they automatically return the favor, or go against their belief of his success vs Andrade. I bet most Danes still roots for Bute though.

No, they don't. They want Bute to fail because it makes Kessler look good:

...which is short-termist and silly because Kessler is the favourite against Bute anyway.:-(

I think it is like brothers. Argue Bute against anyone else but Kessler and I think the Danes will cheer for Bute. That is my experience here on the board - in general the Danes seem to be big Bute fans. Perhaps because of the fact that they share Lucas, Mock and now Andrade?

Kessler looks good regardlessly. Even if Bute does the impossible and outperforms that performance(I dont rate a KO above a complete shutout), Kessler-Bute is not based on that or this fight.

Looking at the thread, it seems that not many have hatred for Bute regardless of nationalities. And the poll is dead even.

From the danes perspective - I think it is the fact that Andrade won the hearts of them, by being a class act guy, that would even melt the coldest of hearts. I think this is the reason, not to make Kessler look better. Bute is not personally as known, but it can still happen - when we receive some interviews with him.
