I have watched Ken's fights with Ortiz, Laguna and Duran. You are right, Buchanan is severely underrated by many.

I remember seeing him on TV winning the world title and he was the boxer I wanted to fight like (but didn't)
The fight to watch is against donato puduano, a ranked welterweight who Buchanan outpointed, winning 9 of the 10 rounds.its an absolute masterclass of boxing.

Only the Duran fight and that was because of the reference to it from the book 4 kings. In saying that I will go have a look now out of curiosity

Seen several...Duran obviously, Charlie Nash??...Laguna etc
I was just rematch ink the Duran DVD over Xmas and I still can't see the blow that ended it. Was it a punch or a knee?
In my film the camera filming the action is across the ring filming from Behind Duran, and Roberto and the ref completely block my seeing the fight-ending blow.
I think GilClancy said it was a knee?
    Can anyone clarify? Thanks.

It was definitely a low blow but not with the knee.Duran knocked ken down in the 1st round but towards the end of the round the Scot stung Duran with a left hook.Duran knew he was in a fight!!!!
Only for the low blows duran would have won on points.buchanan wasn't just a fancy boxer he was as hard as nails and one of the greatest British fighters ever.

Thanks fo your reply. Yes, I remember the fight well. Kens gloves barely touched down, it was barely a knockdown. I wonder what Ken himself said happened at the end? Any photos?
