How many knockdowns for Marquez-Katsidis

a fighter like katsidis can never be overrated.

 

Marquez will drop Katsidis twice and on the second one the ref will call it, probably in the middle rounds. Katsidis just does not have the defense to avoid getting tagged and while he's a warrior, his chin is somewhat overrated. Casamayor was able to drop him three times and Marquez probably hits a little harder than Casa.

 

i didn't see anyone overrating kats chin.

 

No one overrates Katsidis for god's sake thats like saying Urango and Miranda are overrated we all know what they can do at it's not enough to win on the world stage. If JMM isn't completely shot Katsidis is gonna get hurt real bad especially with his fighting style. I predict 3 kd's all Katsidis going down before its stopped.

 

if katsidis finds a way to win this fight, it'll probably go down as one of the great fights of this century. think about it. imagine what he has to do to beat juan manuel marquez. his fight with casamayor was a classic and marquez's fight with casa was great as well. people say marquez has shown decline but I don't see it. he recently outclassed diaz again and his fight against floyd was 1, against floyd, and 2, at welterweight. katsidis, on the other hand, has gotten better. he makes an effort to place his shots now, and doesn't go for broke at all moments anymore, and ask ricky burns about his power. whoever's writing him off as a one sided beatdown victim is delusional. he's live in this fight for sure. this is the fight of the year.

that is why marquez put the fight off for so long, cause he knows it is a tough day at the office fighting a guy with balls like kats.

 

I don't know if marquez has been steering clear of katsidis. that just doesn't seem like the sort of tactics that would come from someone with his dna, being a world champion psycho mexican warrior and all. you can look at his resume and see that he wasn't opting to take fights against opponents who don't stack up to katsidis. this doesn't mean that he isn't fully aware of the spartan who will be standing opposite him come fight night.

I'd actually favor the MAB of today to beat Katsidis pretty clearly.........a Marquez matchup for Katsidis is just going to be brutal for poor Kats.....

A complete and utter mismatch imo.
