I think he'd beat around 10 give or take on that list. Guys like Rahman, Briggs, Neon Leon, Burns etc but lose to most of the others assuming he's matched with the best versions of each fighter.

    Nevermind that.

I simply don't get what world the guys that chose "less than 5" live in. Did they think about it at all?

Hart, Burns, Braddock, Fitzsimmons, Johansson, Leon Spinks, Michael Spinks, Old Foreman, Rahman, Carnera and Willard I'd go so far as to say I'd be extremely confident he'd beat.

stating something about an entirely different person does nothing to support your argument for the original person.

POvetkins recent kos are against bums. They are the type used to move into contention when you are young and upcoming, not proof that you can beat lineal champs.

Wach, Perez, Takam, Charr, Duhaupas are bums? Are you knocking back grandpa's cough medicine tonight? The worst out of that lot is Duhaupas and he's one of Wilder's best wins, for example.

That's a very solid lineup to have faced, and what's more he stopped them all.

nobodies and nearly men on the world scene. and they are nowhere near the calibre of lineal champs. bum is perhaps too far for some of them, I concede that. But they FAIL as an argument for Pov's strengths against lineal champs.

i dont even know your grandpa, you should ask him.

using another bumkiller as evidence doesnt advance your argument one iota.

I think that it's pretty obvious just looking at the footage that Povetkin is amply better than many of them. Rahman, who is on the list, got blown out woefully by Pov in two rounds.

Furthermore guys like Chambers, Byrd, Donald, Chagaev are all pretty good and he beat them all.

His resume is better than that of many lineal champions :deal:

Goodness! I always knew Povetkin was one of the most grossly overrated heavyweights of all time when it came to the General Forum, but I never realized that extended beyond there into the Classic section.

then u are wrong. When you accept you are wrong is another matter, if ever.

yeh and I can smack up fat diabetic one legged buster douglas today. when they are shot a win is worth shyt.
YOU MUST KNOW THAT. WHy do you keep on bringing up wins over half dead fighters, you enjoy getting gunned down each time over that argument? explain why you keep repeating that mistake. thanks.

chaggy was a good win, thats about it. to try to claim beatnig 36 year old chris byrd is good is facetious, and to pretend ti extends to beating lineal champs is heresy.

its not, other than the bum champs we've chanced on that anyone decent like Pov would beat.

Old Foreman beats Povetkin im pretty confident about that. Spinks MIGHT too, he was a good fighter even at HW and like many Tyson(and Roy Jones for that matter) victims gets underrated because he was blown out by him. Povetkin didnt have Tysons footspeed or handspeed. It wasnt Tysons power alone that wrecked Spinks because Spinks knocked out Cooney who hit extremely hard, it was Tysons speed and delivery that meant Spinks couldnt escape and was overwhelmed. Best version of Rahman beats Povetkin look how well he did vs Tua both times.

Yes, Foreman II would leave Povetkin in a crumpled heap. Povetkin doesn't know the meaning of boxing off the back foot and is WIDE open to uppercuts.

It would be nasty because Povetkins limited footspeed and footwork. Foreman would have no problems hitting him

    1) I'll be sure to recall your remarks the next time somebody pulls their pudding over half of Lennox Lewis' wins
    2) 36 year old Chris Byrd looked pretty good to me, he fought a good fight and showed super handspeed
    3) 38 year old Povetkin is 5 KO's on the trot, make sure to give him extra credit for that.

although lewis has nothing to do with this argument.... this - meathead, lennox beat champs non lineal and lineal. try pull pudding over that.

he was 36. he didnt show anything to indicate Povetkin beats lineal champs.

sure, and again this does NOTHING to advance your cause for povetkin beating hordes of lineal champs.

Pov remains a contender as a pro in this thread. A juicing one too. Without juice who knows how bad he'd have been.
In 3 rounders as an amateur he could beat some of them, he was an excellent amateur.
