I like to watch undercards but the froch v dirrell card was one the worst ever, drinking in the foyer and watching fleaman punch **** out of his jaw to prove he had a granite chin was priceless. He must of drank at least 10 pints as he was smashed but his boxing knowledge is unparalleled tbh. Point is the esb crew are a good bunch, and i thoroughly look forward to a possible froch v abraham in nottingham night out again...
Munroe vs Martinez II Moore vs Piccirillo Both of those had some pretty bad undercard fights, and I was on my tod so had to prompt someone to wake me before the main event started..... Froch vs Dirrell - the Nottingham ESB day/night :yep Haye vs Ruiz - another ESB meet :yep Can't think of any more :think
More than 50 but less than 80 Highlights: Pac-Cotto Froch-Taylor Haye-Fragomeni Froch-Kessler Cotto-Mosley Hatton-Castillo Francis-Pele Reid Worst by far was Williams-Harrison I
Only three as it goes, although my debut was a biggie.....Mayweather vs Hatton, after that I went the Fury vs MacDermont and the final one was the Prizefighter heavy's which Harrison won. in terms of excitment they probably fall in that order too.
Froch Dirrell, Smith Dodson, Haye Ruiz myself tried to get to a few Munroe and Booth cards in Nottingham as well but failed due to money restrictions. Probably wont go to another show until september froch abraham maybe
Benn - Gimenez, NEC Woodhall - Malinga, Telford Woodhall - Beyer, Telford Hatton - Tyszu, MEN Calzaghe - Lacy, MEN Williams Harrison 1 and 2, Excel Calzaghe - Kessler, Cardiff
smith - quigley, smith- dodson, haye - ruiz so far. the meeting one other esb'er though, it's a bit gay for sho'. But meeting up in a crowd, that's a better idea. these esb meets sound pretty good, would love to see flea man trying to KO himself
About 3..."Amatuer shows", never really wanted to go to any shows. I couldn't imagine, what i would be doing in Vegas. Drinking while the undercard fights are on, and then watching the fight with no commentary..? from a **** seat..? Nahhhh not for me. I like to watch fights soba, and i actually enjoy listening to commontary. Maybe in afew years, when Amir Khan invites me to sit ring side. Maybe if Roy jones, or Mike Tyson where in their prime, i would be more motivated........but sorry no.
no mate .. I knew a few who were though.. it was Blues v Mancs, and Im Villa so deffo not involved lol
I live in the Midlands which is a bit bereft of boxing, it all seems to go North or South of here, but I've been too a few, maybe 4 local shows over the years, no names on them, and Clinton Woods vs Glenn Johnson in Bolton and Wladimir Klitschko vs Eddie Chambers in Dusseldorf a few months ago. Woods vs Johnson was easily the best fight I've seen live.
I have seen 3 so far. Haye-Barret Good fun fight with Groves pro debut on the undercard, shame there wasn`t more in the areana but that to be expected. Wlad - Chagaev I was gutted that Haye pulled out of the fight then my mate let me down, so i ended up going on my own but i had a great time in the end and Ricky Hatton was sat 2 seats away from me and him and his mates are top blokes. Haye - Ruiz The atmosphere was great it was a good fight and Manchester is a great city.
Yes, and a terrible arena the Excel too. John Mcdermott rolled over in about 30 seconds in front of Matt Skelton on the undercard. It was such a bad ad for boxing. I took a mate and was embaressed.
