How many losses would Floyd have vs Mosley's opposition?

The reason Oscar had success with Floyd is because of his skill level of course and his size. He wasn't prime anymore, but his size advantage made for that.

If you give me a prime Oscar with the same size advantage vs Floyd, then ya Floyd would lose

Floyd was taller then Quartey with a longer reach. Vernon Forrest showed the same offensive deficiencies that he did against Mayorga in 03 that he did to Quartey in 06.

Seriously switch to MMA white boy. You might be able to understand it better without all the speed.

Right, my only point was Oscar's prime attributes at his best more than make up for the size advantage, IMO.

    Yep.

I think it comes from the fact that Oscar had the reach advantage, and had success with his jab, and since Vernon Forrest had a long reach and a good jab, he'd have success too.

Its fundamentally flawed thinking especially when you look at how Forrest actually fights and how DLH fights. DLH is compact. Forrest isnt.

It be illegal for Floyd to box if he was able to get his hands on the expensive steroids Shane used back in the days before drug enforcement became stronger. No one wants to see a Mayweather with KO power.:deal

Head movement? Jab? He barely uses his jab or moves his head. He uses his shoulder to block punchs he doesnt move his head.

And even if he did have the head movement and the jab to get inside on Forrest do you really see Floyd tucking his chin and bulling his way in and fighting with his head in Forrest chest? And do you not see Forrest just clinching Floyd when he gets inside like he did vs Mosley?

And the only person Floyd ever fought that is close to Forrest in size, height and jab is DLH and he was past his best and still jabbed the **** out of Floyd and madeit a close fight...... and Floyd wasnt countering that jab so he isnt gonna counter Forrest's.

His biggest problem would be Winky @ 154. I would really have to think about how that one breaks down. Forrest is interesting, he had a great jab which you need to stand a chance. Style wise he beats Oscar if they are the same weight. He beats Cotto and Margo no doubt. Pac, well I have always gone back and fourth with that Match-up . . . right now I am leaning to PBF heavily.

what this whole en devour shows great match making vs probably the worse match making out there. I think Oscar, Pac, Margo, Cotto and almost all of SSM foes would have probably lose to winky @ 154 (PBF would be a close match-up) and forrest would cause all major trouble.

winky has a greater chance of beating him, followed by Forrest, then Oscar.

    Tough, tough question!

Mayweather actually outjabbed Oscar in their fight. He did a better job at jabbing to control distance than Oscar did. They were fairly even in using the jab to set up their power shots, maybe Oscar even did a bit better in this department. Floyd's solution for tall guys is to stick the jab at their body. Then the flicker jab had Oscar looking silly. Flickering works so well for Floyd due to his freakishly long arms, yes, they're longer than Forrest's arms too.

The jab to the body wouldn't work so well on Winky since he's a southpaw. Toughest fight for Floyd on Mosley's resume imo.
