    On Cotto fighting a mandatory I'm not sure.

    He fought Quintana to win the vacant title. Then Urkal, then Zab Judah, then Mosley, then Gomez now it's Margarito.

    Which one is mandatory . . . I don't know, but irregardless . . . this is impressive. Mosley is #2; Margarito is #4; Quintana is #5 and Zab Judah is #6 at the present Welter Ring ratings. So after his fight with Margarito he will have fought a total of 6 fights at 147, four against fellow P4P fighters.

    different sanctions have different rules

    being the wba champion means nothing to the wbc, these sanctions arent in sync with each other they are their own business.

    The fact that Hatton qualified as a mando for a WBC title when he had absolutely nothing to do with the WBC, shows that the sanction is corrupt and only did it for the money.

    Exactly. WBC rules mandate that former champions of the divsion or 1 division higher or lower than the division being contested can be named mandos. Translation, former WW champs along with former JMW and JWW champs qualify to be mandos. You see, you don't even know the rules. You criticise the WBC for breaking their rules, yet you don't even know their rules.

    Hatton had fought one fight at 147 and won a world title, the same world title that Cotto currently holds. In addition, he was a former two time JWW champ. Again, how many fights has Guzman won at 135? He's Campbell's mando.

    I don't care about Guzman being Campbell's mandatory . . . that's another crap by WBO.

    As for Hatton . . .Yeah Hatton fought one fight at 147 and won a belt . . . which he later on dump because according to him . . . he's not at ease with the weight. So what does that says?

    Guzman being Campbell's mandatory and Hatton being PBF's mandatory are both BULLSHITS.

    reg. that rule has normally applied when the belt holder held that same organizations belt at the lower weight. in all my years of watching boxing, this is the first time i have seen this type of bull ****.
    hatton was made the number one on pure political b.s.
    but what more could you expect from sulaiman

    Do you honestly think that the wbc believes if a fighter won a belt from a different sanction that qualifies him into the rankings of their own.

    Oktay Urkal was a mandatory, I guess his next one will have to be against WBA interim champion Yuriy Nuzhnenko. What a waste of time that'll be, Cotto will injure him severely.

    Cotto is now past fighting Mandatory fights, He is now a PPV fighter and on HBO, It is all about money and big fights, He would tell the WBA to stick there title up there ase if they tried to get in the way of a huge fight, AKA Mayweather, DLH

    Why the hell would the WBC rank him in two different divisions at the same time?

    I just posted the exact rule. Please tell me where it specifies that the former champ has to be a former WBC champ. Here it goes again;

    Would you rather Floyd have fought Mikki Rodriguez as his mando? You think Rodriguez would've lasted 10 rounds? You think that fight would've went over well with the fans?
