im thinking if he were to sign a fight with cotto, which i think he will because he might not want to wait another month to sign with mayweather if the moneys right.say he beats cotto and then goes on and beats mayweather(not saying he will beat both guys, just a scenario)what more does he have to prove? imo nothing because going into those fights everybody is gonna use the size, height, power, skills issues to doubt pac man like in his last 2 fights.so he only needs two more fights against the best imo to retire on top
None . . . if he wants to retire now . . . he can . . . the rest of his fights are just big money fights not title fights.
From a boxing fan's perspective I would love to see Manny fight for a couple more years, there is noone right now that can bring the excitement he does. As a Pac fan, I think he should retire right after his next fight and not risk the chance of losing to a lesser fighter, it happens to everyone.
hmm says... Roach said in an interview that after he beats PBF he can retire cause he has nothing else to prove... or he can fight one more at WW facing a Cotto or Mosley.
Pacman got a chance to be a guarantee 500,000 ppv sell everytime he fights,,,,he should stay around for 3 to 4 for years at the earlist,,,i not sure what this sell was, but if it is over a million, you can bet 90% of that was cause of pacman
didn't he say he wanted two more fights before retiring? Whoever he fights = $$$$$$$ payday for him thats for sure. Would love to see him fight Cotto and PBF as his last 2 fights. The man is a beast thats all I can say...
The man can retire today if he wanted to but he is keeping the sport in the public eye. He should fight Cotto and PBF and maybe close out with a 3rd fight with JMM then ride into the sunset and retire with a career that i am proud to have witnessed. Amazing fighter. Actually hope he doesnt fight Cotto since Cotto is one of my favorite fighters as well but it probably will happen if Cotto wins next month.
