How many more losses would Lennox Lewis have if he fought these 5 fighters?

I'd make Lewis a favourite in each of these fights. But he could certainly lose one.

    1) Sanders' 4 amateur wins (including 3 KO's) over Botha say otherwise

    2) Clearly we disagree. I guess I remember Lennox labouring to a decision win over Billups and Sanders knocking Billups' block off in the first. Such is life.

Lewis is good enough to go undefeated with this line-up, but I think taking life, the law of averages, and the quality of opponents into consideration. I think it's quite possible he'd lose one fight along the way.

amateur has little to no reflection on pro fights.

I kinda recall lennox being undisputed and lineal world champ for years with awesome resume flattening rows of sandertypes. clearly u disagree.

some mfs always gotta pick ONE fight over an ATG resume, like iceskating uphill.

    No he didn't.

He white washed the dude !

Lennox would still have been favourite.

A puncher's chance, but Lennox clear favourite.

There was no day in Mike's life that he would have been favourite over the best version of Lennox.

It would have needed 9 months for the eye to heal. At that stage, I'd give the edge to Vitali.

    One.

    Maybe none !

I am amazed how some look at the klit vs Lewis fight and walk away so confident that Lewis loses a rematch. First Lewis was training for a fight with another fighter and Vitali became a last minute substitute. Secondly Lewis was not focused as he normally would be when training for a top level challenger. Third the outcome of the fight was a KO win by Lewis so even an unfocused And poorly prepared Lewis scored a stoppage win. Fourth if you watch the final 30 seconds of the last round Lewis lands a right hook to Vitalis temple which seriously stuns him. This is followed by a huge uppercut near the bell. Lewis was on his way to knocking Vitali out when the bout was stopped which IMO would have occurred in the next round.

Agreed. Vitali fought one of the worst versions of Lewis we ever saw. Even aging he would have been sharper in the rematch.

    1) Vitali took the fight at the last moment
    2) He wasn't as focused as he'd normally be
    3) The outcome was a TKO and VK clearly had something left in the tank. Lewis looked like he was gonna have a heart attack.
    4) Until his eyesight went he was beating Lewis like a drum

    and

    5) If the guys that beat Lewis (eg Rahman) had retired right after their win, as Lewis did to Vitali, people would be looking at that loss as an indelible blight.

What stuns me is that folks imagine Lewis would cut Vitali right over the eye, 100% like clockwork in every conceivable rematch. :huh Yeah, right. It's very obvious that that version of Vitali > old Lewis. Prime Lewis, another matter.

He was down 4-2 on all three cards and tired at the end of the 6th. A cut's loss was the result, and if you look at a film ( I can show you a link ) Lewis had an illegal backhand swipe after he landed the punch, then the top of his head rubbed against Vitali's eye region.

Lewis said he'd re-match on air after the fight, and in the press. 18 million was up for him. It was the biggest fight in boxing, this time, Vitali would be training for a 12 round match for Lewis, and not taking the fight on less than two weeks notice.

Lewis tried to make matches with Kirk Johnson and Roy Jones. He said Vitali wasn't ready. After Vitali KO'd Kirk Johnson it was put up or shut up time as the WBC ordered the re-match. The internet was buzzing with activity

Lewis who was talking and acting like an active fighter, quickly retired! He balked! He knew he would lose! There is no other explanation. If he wanted to retire he would not have sought other matches.:deal When the &hit got real, he tucked tail. :deal

Later Lewis said, oh I'll come back for 100 million to Fight Vitlai. He never could admit Vitali retired him.:deal

Lewis badly needed re-matches vs Rahman and McCall, but anyone who gave him a tough fight...Mercer, Bruno, or Vitali never got a re-match.

    Hmm....

Wlad 1-0 vs Rahman. Lewis 1-1 vs Rhaman.
