How Many of Glen Johnson's losses were ROBBERIES?

Most of his losses were fights that could've went either way. Johnsons a B+ fighter and somewhat of a gatekeeper. Maybe he should've managed his career a little better, developed a fan base, and he wouldn't have needed to fight in other guys hometowns to get paid.

 

So many people fall into his sob story so easily. He thought he was robbed in the Dawson rematch and cloud fights for godssake.

He gets hit easily and he doesn't have ko power so he has to outworn most guys- it results in a lot of close fights.

 

He has a lot of close decision losses, or losses that should have been closer. Robberies? Sheika did NOT beat him... so at least one.

 

Johnson is a great boxing man, but he is not a victim of bad decisons he is a victim of a poorly managed career and a late peak.

 

I think he couldv edged out a dawson win but just came short,

 

I scored that first Dawson - Johnson fight 8-4 for Dawson

I scored the Cloud fight 7-5 for Cloud.


People only see W's and L's, but giving a godo fighter a tough fight is an accomplishment in itself.

 

The Daniel Judah fight was one of worst decisions I've ever seen. With that said, he got a gift against Tarver in maybe the most important fight of his career (saw it ringside and on TV; Taver won that).

 

I felt the Cloud fight was a robbery and they were setting up Dawson-Cloud.

but fans are fickle and its why promoters are so keen to protect fighters win columns.

 

Surprised no one has mentioned the Silvio Branco fight.

Absolutely. I was just thinking that. I thought that fight was as razor thin as you could get. I had it one point to Glen but that was so evenly matched that night. That Dawson could make the next one a lop-sided snoozer in his favor shows he learned something about exploiting his strengths and not opening up to show his weaknesses. ...I had thought...at the time.

 

A hell of a lot less than he claims.
