How many of Joshua's KOs have been while his opponent is standing?

It feels like quite a high %, possibly 75%.

And whilst almost all those stoppages were justified, it does make me realise AJ is never going to be a one punch KO guy like Price Wilder or even Lucas Browne.

Case in point was that AJ finished Gavern in 3 as did Browne ... But the post fight reaction was VERY different.vs Browne Gavern got an oxygen mask and medical attention, vs Joshua he was whooping to the crowd and in great spirit.

It's strange though as Sky are marketing him as a knockout artist and he's anything but!

    IMO he's a 6'5 pressure fighter.

He'll go a long way and have a big stoppage % but like Chisora - he's going to be knocking out cold almost nobody.

He,s a friendly guy...he doesn,t want them to go down on the dirty canvas.....he hits just enough to keep them up

Still interesting to see how the AJ story develops. I still haven't seen that much to scream and shout about yet

I don't think he's a one punch put you to sleep kind of guy but he still has very heavy hands which he throws with good speed for a man of his physical dimensions and he keeps them coming as soon as he's got you hurt.

    He's absolutely not.

By similar stages in their careers, Wilder, Price, Browne, Klitschko and even Tyson Fury had at least a couple of KOs that were lights out before the head hit the canvas (and as brutal as it is to say this) 'leg twitchers on their CVs.

Joshua has none - despite his frame

And the likelihood they will occur as the opposition level now increases is very small.

To me he is like a bigger Chisora. Who he came through the same amateur gym.

Chisora couldn't punch the froth of a pint of beer. Joshua might not be a one punch put your lights out kind of guy but I think he hits considerably harder than Chisora.

Michael Sprott on Joshua's power. Sprott has fought or sparred against virtually every top HW in the world over the course of the last couple of decades so he knows a thing or two about getting hit hard.

    1:00 mark

''He's strong but obviously it was nothing like a Corrie Sanders. That was just unhuman power, man.''

He got gifted/bought a GOLD medal. Do you think they give a **** about BS stoppages against no names. He is being marketed heavily so the Brits will stop at no cost to help him along.

he knocked out KJ something chisora, vitali, fury didnt do.
you couldnt call that a "British" stoppage if anything it was left a bit late.

even knocked KJ out the ring.

He's winning by stoppage, and in the first 3 rounds - not having lights out KO power isn't really a biggy as far as I am concerned as he has the combination of accuracy, strength and speed to get enough hits in to cut someone down to the point of being a incapacitated in less time than most KO artists just flick the lights out on people. I think full credit to him, though I am interested to see what happens if he goes against someone who can survive the work rate into the late rounds - he'll need some serious endurance to keep that kind of thing up for 12 rounds.

While they both have pros and cons at this stage, this is where Joseph Parker (yeah, I think these guys are synonymous) has a bit of a difference - he doesn't seem to hunt KOs quite as much, but his hits are HEAVY. You can hear them hit like freight trains, his fights become less interesting quite quickly because his most recent opponents have chosen to keep away- the last guy who fully took it for granted (Beato Costa Jr) got the plug pulled on him when he came in mid swing when most guys are looking to just retreat and try to keep the sting out... and when that happens he is tending to just break them down in a sustainable way leaving a TKO or points win still the likely outcome.

Camerelle beat Joshua in the Olympics, but was cheated.
