I agree with this. Would favor Ortiz too though, even if he is clearly past his prime.

Povetkin was very nearly dropped by David Price.

And yes, I know, Price is "big enough to hurt anybody."

But he didn't really hurt Erkan Teper.

I really like Povetkin too, but he's way past his best and no longer on drugs, probably.

At his age, that's a problem.

I think he might turn out to be a gimmee for AJ if the Wilder fight falls through which I expect it to.imo Wilder squeezes one more defence against Breazeale before risking his belt against AJ. Which means AJ has Povetkin,Whyte or Miller to turn a £ with. AJ doesn't need Wilder to make ££££,but Wilder doesn't make anything like AJ's purses $$$$ Haymon wants Wilder to keep it in house, defending against fighters connected to him understandable but limiting.
By the end of the year the big ,silly man-child should be ready to step up to the plate ,another mega£££ fight for AJ if he keeps his focus and undefeated record.

Kinda depressing state of affairs in the heavyweight division if the only worthwhile fight is Joshua and Wilder.

I'd favour the following to beat Archie:

    Joshua
    Parker
    Povetkin
    Ortiz
    Wilder
    Fury
Wlad (yes, I know he's retired)
    Haye

I think maybe ten. They're just too much bigger than him. He's 5'10" and 9 of them are over 6'4." That's an entirely different weight class. He might beat everyone at light-heavyweight though, which is probably his best weight.
