How many of you actually enjoyed the Mayweather-Hatton fight?

i liked it but hell i even liked Hopkins vs Wright so maybe im just obsessed with boxing. I know Cortez pissed me off alot. I HATE seeing the ref get involved all the time.

 

the fight was kinda rough and dirty but i did find it very entertaining and was really surprised that floyd was acctually quite clever fighting on the inside especially against hatton

 

I absolutely enjoyed the fight. Everyone knew Floyd could outbox Ricky, but he pretty much went in there and outwrestled the wrestler instead. Once it was clear how much stronger Floyd was on top of being faster, the only question was whether he'd go for the KO, and he did.

Between the level of opponent and the result, this was Floyd's most entertaining fight since Corrales, in my book. Of course the way he beat down Gatti was sensational, but hell, Ivan Robinson and Mickey Ward made that look good also.

 

i imagine the hatton "KD to turnbuckle" was an early christmas present for you.


decent fight. i like it when pbf started to open up more and pepper hatton.

 

I saw it at a friends house and the place was full of frat guys and sorority girls who showed up dressed like they were going to the club. Me and this one other guy were the only people in the place going for PBF and when the knockout came I went crazy, practically knocking my girlfriend out of her chair. After that everyone pretty much wanted me to leave. Beautiful way to end a fight....i loved it.

 

Thought it was a good fight. I enjoyed watching two different styles clash. Good drama until about the 5th when it was clear Mayweather had completely figured Hatton out. But even after that, it was great seeing Mayweather bait Hatton into that punch. Not because it was Mayweather mind you, but because of the sudden way it happened and the skill behind the manuever.

 

Fantastic. I loved the Brits and their antics, and any chance to watch the Money is a great night. Great Avatar, BTW, of the father of Bernard Hopkins.

 

The fight was great, Cortez wasn't, he sucked big time, BIG TIME!!

It was a good fight, the Brits made the atmosphere and Mayweather was exceptional.

Cortez DID ruin the fight and WAS favourable to Floyd, BUT i dont think it made any difference to the outcome.

Seeing Casper prostate on the canvas, was the sporting highlight of 2007.
