Yes but they were all against part time fishermans and construction workers.. :rofl Hard to be impressed by that bum's row..
He has a pro style that was successful in the ams and obviously doing well in the pros. He just knows how to handle any style. High ring IQ, cool headed, and very gritty fighter. Brawlers in general are considered more physical fighters, but he can brawl and counter very, very good. He tends to fight at the same pace throughout a fight, ready to go the distance if need be. Dedicated body puncher, doesn't rush a ko. A fighter like him should be appreciated, I don't hear many fighters rushing to sign to fight him.
He called him out for next year, received an offer, passed to fight Taylor on espn instead. What are the chances you're one of TS's fly by night ALTs?
Golovkin is an exciting power puncher, has an entertaining personality, and provides an unlimited amount of quotes/catch phrases so i understand why he's so popular. That said Boxed Ears is catching alot of hostility for simply stating his opinion and offering some very astute observations about Golovkin's flaws. People should either offer some well thought out arguments and provide evidence to the contrary or be willing to accept the hard facts, face first brawling is fun to watch but hardly skillful.
Like I said earlier that guy is the gift that keeps on giving. Wait until he starts unloading on Joe Ward.
I am very high on what I believe his skills to be and how far he can go, but I am not presently high on what he has accomplished thus far (because of how highly he is regarded by most).
Perhaps its better to remain a cult classic than a blockbuster. The first quote from TS made my day but i was surprised that many legit posters fell face first into it. Lovely stuff my friend.
I'd be a lot higher on him if he actually fought and beat someone with a pulse. Geale is his consensus #1 opponent thus far and he's a total ***. :deal
I'm not really high on him, not for his potential, but because i think he's too lazy on it. I think he isn't working on his skills like he should, he relies too much on blasting opponents away, and history has shown that sooner or later those kind of fighters meets their version of Algieri.
WOW this is so meta. GGG trolls getting trolled. Welcome to another 5 page plus GGG thread. :grouphug we all work for K2 promotions!
