He actually moved quit a bit in the fight. He said he was going to come at Cotto, but he started out running. Cotto was pressing the action for most of the fight.

Floyd has little power at 147+ and ATG defensive skills. It just doesn't make sense if you're trying to win a fight.

I thought Floyd fought well as did Cotto, althogh outgunned did his best and fought with balls and has nothing to be ashamed of. Floyd, is now an older boxer and needs some adjustments, he has had 43 fights and can no longer afford to lean with his chin, a good puncher will get him one day no doubt, but in between, let us enjoy a fighter who is 43 and 0.

i know its not a popular opinion but boxing on the outside and displaying pure artistic boxing for 12 rounds amazes me.. i loved to watch floyd get tagged a little in the first few rounds make the appropriate adjustments and just begin taking them apart

Two things I wanted Floyd to do during the fight more:

    1) continuous move to the right.

    2) keep his right glove up to the side or in front of his face more in the ropes.

he seemed to move to the ropes for no reason at times..

dont get me wrong. occasions it was very clear cotto PUT him in the ropes

but on others floyd would just straight line backpedal slowly until he was in the ropes... it really annoyed me

Read the first post as I show I make a difference between "boxing" and "Fighting" in this case.

Its no different when you hear trainers say "Box Him" which can involve a higher level of intelligence that relies on I.Q. and boxing skills with a safety first mentality in order to "hit and not get hit" while piling up "points" which can even be displayed at a certain pace instead of when a guy starts to lose and has to take desperate measure and risk it all in order to win. and then "Fight him" = go all out. Increase your aggression and attack, stand toe to toe, force it into a brawl, etc.
Basically, somewhat Abandon what you've been taught about safety first approach, piling up points (because it no longer matters) and take it back to prehistoric period.

One stands to be more of an aggressive nature.

Its not different in this case when my friend says he prefers when fighters "Fight" and not "Box."

The poll should have helped you out as well.

    but it's ok though
