Or maybe he knew he cannot handle Vitali in rematch whatever shape he is. After all that was lucky punch that grazed the brow.

Could Vitali have beaten Lewis if the fight continued? Yes, of course he could've, but he also could've lost.

How are people putting no? It's could have not would have. Of course he could have. No one knows what would have happened so it's a pretty simple answer. Yes, he could have.

Still could've gone either way. Now Vitali started having problem b/c he couldn't see as well in that eye but if he never would've gotten cut he def would've beaten Lewis imo. BUT coulda shoulda woulda.........so who knows.....

In my opinion he could only have won by quick KO, as one more round would probably have left his eye permanently damaged no matter who actually won that round.

Vitali, despite his injury was noticably the less tired of the two while Lewis was getting the better shots in as the fight went on. If Lewis had the stamina for a few more rounds I don't see Vitali getting back in control and Lewis definately had enough left to land something meaningful for at least 1 more round which on it's own would have been downright dangerous to Vitali's health given that eye.

Vitali did deserve a rematch, but in that fight he should be grateful for the stoppage as he was on a downward slope and I think his best rounds were behind him and health was at serious risk.

People's views of Lewis on here are far too extreme. Either he's nearly the GOAT and was about to get off his stool and knock Vitali into the middle of next week, or he's an over-rated chump whom Vitali would have stopped at will. In terms of physical condition, both fighters looked pretty bad. Vitali was winning the fight and looked much fresher, whilst Lewis was slumped back on his stool puffing and panting. On the other hand, fighting on with a gash of that order is a massively uphill battle. Overall, I think it was a 50/50 fight from there.

It's certainly stupid to suggest that Vitali didn't have a chance of winning. He was in the fight, at the very least.

He must have known he already stopped the game challenger and made him cry:|
The last time Vitali cried like that was when Corrie Sanders,a game farmer and part time golfer, blasted his brother Wladimir out inside 2 rounds

If Vitali was told he had one more round to do it a phrase that mentally motivates most guys and since he was winning and Lennox off that night then anything could happen. However Lewis knew the fight was going to be over on that cut all he had to do was survive another round or two and Lennox is a true champ and would have stayed on his feet. Whats to say a minute into the round the ref calls it anyway. Unless Vitali did something dramtic at the beginning of the round hard to believe the ref would have let it go.

It's obvious you don't like either Klitschko. I get it. Except, my point still stands. Yours, while funny, is besides the point.
