How many of you know the tall welterweight prospect MIKE JONES?

A good welterweight prospect to look out for FINITO is a South African called Bongani Mwelase.

Well back they didn't know him, Now he's hot they're all on him.

 

He looks good on paper because he can obviously bang with 12 KO's from 13 wins and 13 fights, and he's a 6'0" southpaw, but he's been down a few times to less than stellar competition, mostly from South Africa.

He did stop the half decent Ali Nuumbembe, but he weighed in at something like 154 for the fight, therefore I don't expect to see him at welter any longer.

 

Who is Mike Jones?

 

Fair comment, although Lucky Lewele was half-decent too and only in Mwelase's 9th pro fight:good

So you too weren't impressed with Aydin? Personally I thought that was about as lackluster of a win as you could get. I felt like he went out of his way to negate just about every possible advantage he had.

Oh was it Lewele? I thought it was some other guy who had him down twice. And perhaps, I don't really think much of that Aydin. Bit of a nut but nothing special.

 

i've seen a couple of his fights and i was impressed. haven't seen anything lately though.

 

He was down 2 times against Lucky Lewele...who is descent but no world beater...

 

Seen him twice wasnt all that impressed.
