He's very, very good but still untested and seem to have trouble with very technical guy. I remember his fight at the 2004 Athen Olympic vs Golovkin and when Golovkin was grabbing, Dirrell seem lost and very ineffectve. His pro career seem to be well managed cuz he had stayed away from pure boxer. He's at his best vs crude boxer or slugger like Oganov and Handshaw but any top 168lbs with very good jab will beat him. I think Ward will beat him because he's more complete and guy like Kessler, Bute or Balzsay will beat him too.

Funny how that happens right...Alot of people were picking Oganov to win that fight, Dirrell outclassed him then it turned into a nothing win.

Dirrell is the truth, and I started a post maybe a year and a half back about the storm coming of american Supermiddleweights. I think that both Dirrell and Ward will be belt holders by this time next year.

    Be real.

Nobody thought that mother ****in Oganov who got knocked clean out by Zuniga or some mother ****er had a chance.

Dirrell is conventional. Ward is the truth, but just has no power. His skills are undeniable though.

I've seen him closely against Paschall, Hanshaw, Codrington but specially against Oganov and there's no doubts in my mind he's the great prospect in store around these SMW-LHWT weight classes. I'm very impressed with his flashy style, smooth punching, ability, cool approach and boxing I.Q.

Not impressed at all. He has good physical tools, but that's pretty much it. He's wild and careless at times, and has poor footwork, especially for someone who makes his living on the move. A top level, technically solid stand-up boxer would give him a lesson. Or a good pressure fighter for that matter.

That said, it's not like his division is loaded with talent, so it's not hard to see him having success in it despite all of his short-comings. A guy like Kessler would school him, though.

I like Dirrell better long-term, but right this minute I think Ward would beat Dirrell. Dirrell has a lot more natural talent though.
