We know the track record when boxers say they are going to retire at a certain deadline but never do. But it seems many here at esb are taking Haye's plan to retire this october seriously. I don't see how he could leave with such a weak legacy that's no where near HOF bound and so much more money to make. Also he really hasn't anything to fallback on after boxing the fame will instantly go away. More or less this plan to retire without completing unfinished business is perhaps just a ploy by Haye to pressure the Klitschko bros to make the fight. This fight will happen maybe not this year but it will happen.

Haye is just trying to cheat Klitschkos again, by lying and contract breaking.

faye will retire in oct 2011, he will come out of retirement once both Klitschkos retire. He will then begin to talk **** and fight old shot bums like he is doing now. All people of low IQ will love him for it.

Haye is running for the hills and he ain't coming back. What makes people think he will go on? He's never shown to be a real fighter, or someone who loves to fight. He's accomplished his goal of making as much money as he could at heavyweight for his retirement with as minimal risk as possible. Barring future financial difficulties, this is the last year we will see him in the ring.

I wasnt sure if he was being sarcastic or haye really does have some kind of condition.

"He's telling everyone, 'I'm going to retire by the end of the year and I will have my legacy.' He's going to have a legacy for the Audley Harrison fight, the most exciting heavyweight fight in history," Klitschko said derisively, referring to Haye's third-round knockout of Harrison in November in a fight universally panned as one of the worst heavyweight title bouts in recent memory. "He has no legacy whatsoever. He has this terrible disease and he has to retire? What bull---- is that? This is total nonsense. He is playing the media. He will not retire because he's a liar, liar, liar. From the beginning to the end, he's a loser liar. That's the truth about this man.

Its impossible to know Haye's intentions based on what he is saying, because he is a proven liar.
