How many other heavyweights in history could have stopped M.Spinks in a round when he reached 31?

My top pick is the David Tua who steamrolled John Ruiz in 19 seconds of the very first round.

Maybe but Tua couldn`t do the scientific stuff that Tyson did leading up to the knockout, Spinks might have been too slippey for the more limited Tua.

Thanks! But the main take away for me from this break down is how absolutely terrible Spinks looks. He's off balance and/or out of position almost the whole time. Doesn't fight like a seasoned pro but like a man in panic.

Look at the break down above and then go and watch the first 90 seconds of Tyson-Douglas. The difference that stands out to me is the how the opponents look rather than how Tyson himself looks.

Tyson was doing nothing like this in the first 90 secs v Douglas, Rooney trained him how to fight, he had dreadful prep for the Douglas fight or don`t you believe in prep, Tyson was sluggish v Douglas and his body had lost it`s vim.

Didn`t page punch a lot harder than Dokes and therre must have been fighters worst than Spinks that lasted longer than a round against these two, Dokes didn`t have Tyson`s power and Page didn`t have Tyson`s hand speed.

In the minority, but Page in his prime was just as fast as Tyson. And he did punch harder than Dokes, who probably didn't want to fight him.

Did you actually look at it again? Early on Tyson does move his head, does lead with his jab, all the so called Rooney stuff. It is Douglas who doesn't at all present the amateurish openings Spinks does.

That's the funny thing with Tyson. When he loses it's not because of what th eother guy did but his own lack of preparation, but when he wins it's only about what he did, never that the other guy looks bad. Spinks was never an aesthetic fighter, but in that breakdown he does almost every mistake in the book during just 90 seconds.

Only when Douglas had pounded on Tyson for 9 rds did he begin to make mistakes like the ones Spinks did from the opening bell.

Prime Page didn`t hit as hard as Wilder hit Fury, Wilder would have had a better chance of Stopping Spinks than Page, Fury would boxed Page`s ears off.
